We just walked half a mile to visit this shop. Sat down and waited... It maybe obvious how to be served but if you’re not a German speaker, it isn’t. We were offered no assistance or advice by our waiter aside from “use Google translate”....Thankfully this experience is by no means typical of Nuremberg.More

We decided to make a day trip to Nurnburg since we were not far away (Rothenburg) and visit the Christmas Market, while walking around taking pictures we walked by neef and were lured in by the pastries in the window. After much discussion we decided...on a chocolate type torte and a fruit tart w/cappuccino's. Sadly the best part was the coffee. We did finish most of the tart but the other was extremely dry and not very good.More

Breakfast was good but there was no menu in English and this made it very difficult for us to order since we do not speak German

The choice of cakes/gateaux was large and you want to try all. Portion sizes are large, so share. We had a white chocolate with alcohol in. Coffee was ok, only average

Be aware, the cake costs around 1,20 euros more if you have it there. You will see two prices, one to take away (cheaper) and another to eat in the cafe. Cake was great. Stuff unfriendly.

This place was lovely! The service was fast and polite. The decoration was nothing special but the cakes and donuts were delicious and super fresh! The prices were average.

This was our local cafe, near to where we were staying in the old city, and we went three times for breakfast, and cakes/ drinks. Friendly staff. Order delicious cakes from the sales part of the shop, and then find a table, where your drinks...and food are brought. We had delicious rhubarb-meringue and sour-cherry-struesle cakes - massive pieces, we ought to have shared! Tasty bread rolls for breakfast, served with jams and a boiled egg. Bustling atmosphere - it was full most of the times we went.More

Please note language was not* a barrier as we had our local friend call to make the order. As well as confirm with an email. - My husband had our friend call/email and order a cake last week. For a pick up today, my birthday!!...It’s disappointing not only because it was a birthday cake but it was a surprise gender reveal cake for our first child. - We went in for pick up and the women acted as if it were our fault the order wasn’t made. Confused we were even there to pick anything up. Although she had our name written down in her book!!!!! Asked us if she could see the emails, to confirm this order really happened. My husband didn’t have the email - as our friend called/email from her own account as the gender of our child is a surprise for the both of us. They offered for the chef to make something right there on the spot, asked if we had some time to wait! (they knew they messed up just didn’t take accountability, total shame) Thank you for offering - but he had the day planned out and waiting for a cake to be made wasn’t necessarily in the timeline. As this was is the very point of ordering beforehand. - Needless to say, there was never an apology! We took two coffees and a slice of their cake to go. Still showing support for their shop. Would have been nice if they treated us to at least our coffee. Unfortunately, don’t find it necessary to ever return or recommend.More
