Lovely gem of a spot. Very good food. Great staff. Good prices. Nice atmosphere. And a large basket of truffles. An amazing night out with Friends. Can not wait to go back.

Three of us arrived speaking no German or Italian, but Romeo took us over and we laughed as we shared several delicious dishes that he recommended. I unfortunately no longer remember which dishes except that they were varied and all wonderful. We felt part of the joyful atmosphere with other diners toasting us and we, them.

A piece of southern Italy in the small Nuremberg. Everything is amazing starting from the bruschetta con n'duia ( Italian typical spicy sausage with chili and tomato) to the seppie alla calabrese . If you are in the mood for Tartufo pasta ask the chef. He has the original Italian one and his pasta his the best in town.

I ate in many many Italian places for 5-times less, and much better quality. They are all Italian, but sometimes this is not enough to ensure real Italian food. Pasta in tomato sauce far away from the real one, pizza margarita very average and the mozzarella was tasteless... Those are basics that all Italians need to have under control... A... More

What a lovely place - you need to walk a bit from the nearest tram or bus but it is worth it. The owner and his nephew welcomed us into his restaurant. Sure you pay but it is worth the quality. The prawns on rocket for starter are excellent as is the mixed bruschetta. Try the black truffle lunguine for... More

Romeo and his nephew Alessandro make this restaurant really special. They love their job and the family feeling of this place clearly comes from there. Italian red from the southern part of the country is at home here, the typical specialties of the cooking recipes of Calabria are on the list every day and the experience of tasting these, be... I went there several times with friends or with colleagues, the service and the food is always great and the atmosphere good and familiar, can only recommend it.

Longtime user, first time contributor. I only write this review because after 10 years of living in Nurnberg I am leaving – I didn’t want YOU getting in the way of me and my favourite restaurant ;) I’ve eaten well around the world. I’ve been lucky enough to have eaten some michelin starred food and equally had epic street food... More

Great, reasonably priced Italian restaurant. Very authentic ambience with swaggering, almost threateningly attentive waiters and sensational food. The black truffles on pasta were sensational. I recommended it to friends who were similarly enraptured.

We had such a wonderful dinner at La Locanda! We do not speak German that well, we speak mostly English, but that is No problem. Everyone at La Locanda is so accommodating, patient, and friendly! They treat you like family! I always get the ravioli with truffles! It is so delicious!!! I highly recommend La Locanda!!
