I was a little sceptical about this restaurant after reading about surly waitresses, service, etc, etc. We decided to check for ourselves. The building is delightful and the food was to die for. The best sausages in Nuremburg. The waitress was in local dress with...More

This is another place recommended by my brother, supposedly the oldest in town and one of the few restaurants that is open Sunday lunchtime. The selling point is that the meat is cooked over an open fire but that is hardly unique, and whilst the...More

this is said to be the oldest sausage restaurant of Nuremberg, located in a quiet street of the old town. The restaurant is very pleasant, with large tables where guests will be invited to sit next to other people. The choice maybe limited with sausages...More

We have eaten here on previous trips. The sausages are excellent, decor lovely. Waitress a bit rough. My main complaint is that when handed the bill, she whispered "service not included." Repeated again when I got to the Visa machine. This is a scam on...More

If you love the local sausages (Nurnberger) you should go here. They have been at it for 100's of years. We tried it both with potato salad and sauerkraut. Delicious. Very traditional place with nice atmosphere.

Went here around 9.15 pm. Quite busy. Happy to serve if we ordered before 9.30 pm. We had the sausages with kraut and potatoes. I had 8 and my wife 6 which was enough for both of us. Traditional dress from the waitress and cosy...More

That restaurant is cosy, looks vintage and traditional with many pictures on the walls. It's good to see the chef putting your sausages on the old grill. The food is perfect and at a very reasonable price! They have a dark beer (Tucher) which is...More

the atmosphere was cosy, warm and very comfortable , the sausages, sauercraut and potato salad were good, but the prices are high. There are some bread rolls and pretzels on the table, but if you take some you will have to pay for them at...More

Recommended by friends, I had this on my bucket list for a couple of years. The food was not as expected. Remember, these are traditional sausages cooked in a traditional method. My Bratwurst did have a slightly burnt flavour, whether this is intended or not...More

Allegedly the oldest sausage restaurant in Nuremberg. The building is lovely, inside & out. Within the City walls, but not easy to find. There is a large outside terrace. The food was fine - sausages are a must, of course. However, the staff were brusque...More
