My wife and I went here for dinner, thr night we stayed in Nuremberg. The food was great and our server was very pleasant. Overall, it was just what we needed after walking around the city for several hours. Absolutely recommend this restaurant 👌

The informality and setting are much fun, and you will likely find yourself seated family style with other people. The service is slow as the waitstaff is often socializing with diners. That said, the food is traditional and very well done. They do pork shoulder...better than anywhere else, but be warned, it's probably a good idea to skip breakfast and lunch the day you go, and plan on the same for the next day.More
This restaurant was recommended by the tour guide to the Altrathaus. It was very tasty and paired well with a couple dark bier!
Bratwursthäusle offers the traditional Franconian food in the center of Nuremberg. Although it is a very touristy location, the food and beer are excellent and the athmosphere is tradional nd cozy.
Stopped in on our walk back from the castle. Place was crazy busy but they snuck us in to a shared table. Loved the sausages-what will I do when I go home!?!
We were on a riverboat tour in November 2022. Our guide turned us loose and recommended this for lunch. We tried it and were not disappointed. We ate inside. The tables surround a grill in the middle of the room where the sausages are grilled....We ate the Nuremburg sausages on a bun with sauerkraut which is their specialty. They were excellent. These are small sausages more like breakfast sausage size to Americans. The price was very reasonable. If you eat inside your clothes will smell of sausages when you leave. They do have an outdoor seating area as well.More
The food is good, especially the hot red wine in the winter conditions. But they have limited staff to take orders, and very often choose to ignore our request to make second orders. Must avoid coming in at peak hours.
We had the sausages for three nights in a row at different places. These were the best but the others were not far behind. Their seasoning and their smoky flavor set them apart. This place gets really busy so plan accordingly. I reviewed this place...5 years ago. I have no idea why it was stuck in TA's draft file. If it's still open and running, it will be great.More
Great Beer, Great Sausage, great buns, great mustard, great sauerkraut. It was all great. I was a little set back in the beginning on the size of the sausages. They looked more like breakfast sausages rather than the foot longs I am used to. The...flavor all made up for up in the end. you just fill the fresh chewy bun with 3 or 4 sausages. The sauerkraut was so good and sweet.More
I spent a couple of weeks in Nuremberg and I can say that after trying different restaurants, food, and beverages, this place was my favorite by far! The traditional German food is great, and the cozy and warm environment is excellent, but what made the...difference was the service: the friendliest waiter/waitress in town! I totally recommend this place and I'll definitely go back next time I visit Nuremberg.More
Not sure what I was expecting, but came here for my bratwurst experience… and that’s what I got within about 4 mins of sitting down… The place has a good buzz, but it feels like a bratwurst conveyor belt, so maybe go somewhere else for...your Nuremberg sausage and come here for something that takes a little longer to cook!!!More
Excellent food in traditional setting spoiled by sneaky and rude server. This 700+ year old restaurant oozes traditional German charm. The menu is simple yet delicious and cooked in the centre of the cozy restaurant for all to see. The smell of the wood fired...grill just adds to the authenticity. The major downside was my server who communicated perfectly in English through my order only to lose the ability to speak it when overcharging me by €25. After speaking to two mangers I got the feeling this was commonplace. Check you bill folks. Shame as it ruined an enjoyable trip.More
Great authentic German lunch after tour of Nuremberg. Looked crowded but we got right in, sat outside under chestnut tree! Food was delicious as was the beer. Best sausages we’ve had in 2 weeks in Germany. Service excellent. Recommend highly!
Absolutely the place to go for Nurnberger bratwurst. Nice smoked flavour unlike anywhere else. That is their area of expertise though, I can't recommend the strudel.
It was great loved the pork knuckle and the hostess was amazing n helpful n smiling even if it was extremely busy the food came on time too as we had enough time for 1 beer. Great atmosphere.
