This place was recommended to us before I visited Nuremberg by a chap on Twitter festival. The Bratwurst, which the restaurant is famous for, were delicious. Good beer too. Staff were nice and chatty.

The informality and setting are much fun, and you will likely find yourself seated family style with other people. The service is slow as the waitstaff is often socializing with diners. That said, the food is traditional and very well done. They do pork shoulder...better than anywhere else, but be warned, it's probably a good idea to skip breakfast and lunch the day you go, and plan on the same for the next day.More

LOVED this place!! Such great good and service. We sat in the little corner booth / room so it was really cool experience.

My wife and I stopped in here for dinner on our way down to a conference in Garmisch. It wasn't necessarily on the way, but we took a detour. I had wanted to try these Nuremberg sausages for some time. These certainly did not let...me down. We ordered an appetizer of Obazda and split a platter of sausages. Alles güt!More

The food was excellent and the staff friendly. We tried the Corned Pork Tongue, the Nürnberger Bratwurst, and their potato salad. The tongue was to die for and everything else was excellent. This is a very cozy (I.e. small place) - we didn’t have trouble...finding a spot in the dead of winter, but I’m sure it can be packed.More

Went with my family and ordered the traditional Nuremberg sausages. People are friendly and the food is really nice. There are no toilets inside which is a shame.

It was a great way to experience traditional German dining and a way to get out of the cold for a few minutes. We had the potato soup, pretzels and sausage and apple schnitzel for dessert. Decent prices, great service and felt like an authentic...experience!More

It was recommended by Rick Steves and it was great. We visited as a family and the place is charming reflecting the culture. We had beer, main course and dessert for 4 people = $88,10. Our server (Camille)spoke English very well and was friendly. Also,...they take credit cards. We recommend it.More

I was a bit concerned about going to this restaurant during the school holidays because of the large number of tourists in town, but after waiting short I was brought to a cosy table in this very nice place. This is really the house of...Bratwurst, their smell is in the air, and the taste is even better! Franconian wine and the desserts are also recommended.More

Chaotic service. Had to ask to place order after 20 minutes. Then waited 30 minutes for food and had to chase it. No bill presented, just card machine presented. No idea if bill correct. As they’ve been established since the 60s and know it’s a...weekend with many tourists would have thought they’d have organised service and had a bit of practise in the last 63 years. Sullen servers, find some who smile! Food underwhelming. Menu not clear as regards if 3 sides were extra or not (no price). Yes, it was busy. Loads of empty tables inside at the bar. Bizarre they were not used! People queuing!More
