Best Schaeufele in Frankonia

A simply furnished restaurant in the southern city. But the pork Schaeufele (part of shoulder) is unique, flavorful and crispy; it's a dream. The dumplings and red cabbage are also not to be despised. We will come again.

The best Schaufele you could have in Nürnberg! Really Wonderful, soft, tasty, good price and good Service. Not close to the city centre, not touristic.. The best!

They have an international menu, good pork dishes, and good beer all for a decent price. I would recommend if you like pork.

I had a delicious dinner in this place. The environment is very simple and totally informal but pleasant and clean. Restaurant is small and the menu is totally based on three different receipts all with pork meat. And this is good because this place is not a standard restaurant, it is born with the idea to celebrate the traditional way... More

It is located in a not so crowded street but the food there is definitely worth giving a try! I tried the salad and the bf had the pork. The salad was really really good with perfect dressing! Yums!

This place is a fair distance from the main Altstadt area, but was probably the best rustic pork & beer meal I had while I was in Nürnberg, and a great price: I think it was around €11 for the lot. I was so pleased I snapped a picture to send home to make my pork-knuckle-loving friends jealous. I would... More

While this restaurant doesn’t look any super and is bit hidden behind the Main train station, it would be a big pity to miss it. I went there with one friend of mine and we were both very surprised how the food in this reasonably priced restaurant tastes. I recommend to make a reservation, because it can be very busy... More

My fiancé and I decided to come here for two reasons – the menu and the positive trip advisor reviews. It’s a little off the beaten track (the opposite side of the Hauptbahnhof to the old town) but not too far to walk. The decor inside is rustic and welcoming. We arrived late in the afternoon and there were only... More

I found the restaurant “Schäufelwärtschaft” here at Trip Advisor and read the postings, so we visited this restaurant and we had a great dinner. Both we had “Schäufele”, a typical Bavarian food. It’s a big peace of pork meat from the pork shoulder with a bone. From the form of the bone comes the name “Schäufele”, because the bone looks... More
