A very Germanic bar/restaurant, if a little cosy inside. Plenty of room outside. As usua, mainly Germanic menu and only a couple of options for our vegetarian daughter although not very exciting choices. Beer very good but a bottle of water was 3 euros. Ridiculous...More

The main attraction of this restaurant is their own brewed beers, very original. They also have a variety of beers to offer, which means that it is suitable for ‘beer beginners’. The food is also authentic, especially the Nuremberg style sausages. The pork schnitzel and...More

Did the English language tour of the cellars with a chap from America, he was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and entertaining, well worth it. Enjoyed a traditional ‘red beer’ in the bar afterwards.

Happen to be in town for weekend of Bardentreffen - limited menu here but still excellent. Sunday night at 8 and a couple free tables available. Bartender explained special weekend menu in English and we ordered many sausages - in beer and with kraut. All...More

We visited this place several time last September. It's consistently enjoyable for the tasty local beer that they brew. Food is excellent and the surroundings set the scene for a hearty meal. In their shop next door you can buy their range of craft beers....More

Located a few blocks below the Castle (Burg), this nice little brewery was the first place visited upon arrival. It is a small room, dark and cozy, furnished with several communal tables around a small, but worn, bar. Table service is quick and efficient. This...More

We visited here just to try the beer both before and after the tour of the underground cut-rock caves. The beers (especially the Rotbier and the Maibock) were excellent, and they have a nice selection of their hand-made whiskeys that you have to try. Service...More

Visited for some drinks only.. Sampled a few of the beers on offer and all very nice.. There was one girl behind the bar working like a Trojan.. but seemed to have everything under control.. Nice bar !!

We are and drank here as a tour party. Prior to visiting the brewery we were shown the old rock caves, which stretch for hundreds of meters under the Aldstadt, and were once used for brewing & storage, but more recently as air-raid shelters during...More

I stayed in a hotel on the NE outskirts and it took me about 15 minutes to walk in. I would estimate that it would be 4 to 4.5 times the 15 minutes. Probably a good hour maybe 1 hour 20 minutes?
