This was one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had. We had the taster menu, which is their specialty, and it is something special. The food was fabulous. The service was very friendly and they couldn’t have made us more welcome. I have read...the negative reviews on here and can see that the majority are from people who didn’t really want to eat and just wanted a drink. This is a restaurant. Not a bar. You want great food. This restaurant is fantastic. We came here for a nice evening meal and it was exceptional. The staff were lovely and friendly and attentive but not overbearing. We took her suggestion of their tasting menu and it was the best Italian food I have ever...eaten. 6 dishes all beautifully presented, and tasted divine. Several things I had not eaten before and some things I had but all cooked so perfectly. Lovely place for a romantic date, such a nice warm atmosphere. I wish we could come back but we are on holiday so a one off. I have eaten Italian food often and this restaurant is authentic and amazing. I cannot recommend this place highly enough if you want a fantastic meal in a beautiful place. The bad reviews I see are mostly from people who wanted just drink or coffee. Well go to a bar or a coffee house rather than taking up space here. This is for people who want a good Italian restaurant and it’s worth every euro.More

I visited a lot of countries and i never met personnel that bad. They are pushing you to eat, they don't accept you if you just want to drink something and eat light/deserts. And the prices, oh!! And the staff? WORST EVER!

By far, the worst experience i had in a restaurant or bar. I don't even know where to start! They bring you water even though you don't order it and they make you pay for it. 8 euro. If you're not hungry and you only...want to have a desert and/or drink they get really angry with you and start acting really bad, even though the place was freakin' empty. Rude above the line. While i was in the man's room, the waiter kept telling to my wife stuff like: "If you don't want to eat why do you get in here? Really? Really? I wouldn't recommend this place to may worst enemy!More

I am still struggling to understand how this place has been rated by Michelin. I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews on Trip Advisor, all very much justified. Usually what is excessive is insignificant but in that case it was a truly...unpleasant experience: the waiter (owner?) was rude, the dishes were heavy and the bill too. 1) Not only is the food is very overpriced, even for Munich (e.g. 11.90 for a small bowl of beef broth!), they *require* each person to order two courses (which is why I ended up ordering a 11.90 bowl of beef broth). 2) They added...a cover charge (“Gedeck”) to our bill, which I’ve never seen done in other Munich restaurants for only two people. 3) They didn’t offer wine by the glass, so we ordered a half bottle, which we suspect was overheated at some point (we should have sent it back). The food taste/quality was fine, but not worth the prices. Skip it and head to the Italian restaurant La Valle just two doors down. ristorante-lavalle.comMore

This was authentic Italian food served with great service! Loved Maria and her staff. Delicious food!
