Nice Restaurant featuring from good to excellent dishes, by reinterpreting the italian tradition sometimes in a very creative way, however without losing authenticity. Starter (salmon carpaccio) was very complex, both salty, sweet and sour, a not-to-be-missed dish! First course was very well cooked and balanced;...meat was tender, but somehow plain in flavor; desserts were excellent, the right conclusion to a very satisfying dinner; wines were good. Service was very polite, prompt and effective. Dining room was bit noisy, but maybe that’s a weekend related problem, in this regard weekdays should be better. I will come again to this restaurant, which I I definitely recommend.More

Interior lovely, atmosphere good as long as restaurant is not full and noisy. If you prefer it enjoyable, avoid weekend dinners. Owner and staff very eager to please. Food really well made, portions adequate. Wine list all right, of course expensive as usual. At present...much in favour with less decent clients, called Schickimicki and Geldkatzen locally. Parking difficult to find, so come by taxi. Try also Perazzo as an alternative.More

We were lucky to go on a nice evening so we could sit outside enjoying the sunny weather. We had a great fish tartare (salmon and tuna), followed by meat for me and a pasta con frutti di mare for my wife. Everything wonderful!

this is by far the best italian restaurant in munich. a true gem for top class fine italian food and vine. everything is simply perfect. the daily changing menu based on the actual season with only the freshest ingredients, the very exceptional choices of great...vines and the beautifully designed interior is always a pleasure to enjoy. and, not to forget, one of the friendliest services ever experienced overall. definitely my favorite choice for dinner and lunch and more than worth the price compared to many other places. keep up the great work!More

this place is very quiet, the tables are unusually large and spaced out for Munich. There are few tables. It is clearly a classy place. The menu is very short, which I personally tend to like. They have starters, pasta (fancy things like pasta with...truffle, or prawns and so on, not the classical ones), fish and meat. They don't offer pizza here. We had a veal tartar for starter, which was excellent. The pasta looked amazing, I wish I had ordered some as well. For our main we had the sole with giant prawns. The quality of the fish is outstanding, one of the best I've tried in Munich. At last we had a chocolate coulant with ice, which was also really good. All in all, the experience was great. The staff is friendly and attentive. It is a bit on the pricey side, but I think it is pretty fair, considering the quality. Will likely go again.More

This place hits all the right points. It isn't very big so the service to very good. The pasta and seafood was great. They keep the menu limited so the product is good. They have a good selection on the wine list. Since it isn't...a big space you need reservations -- probably at least a week in advance. We made ours two weeks ahead. It isn't inexpensive, you pay for the quality and the service.More

It is not common to see a warm and good service altogether with a decent meal. It is not cheaper, but an excellent option for Italian food in Munich.

Normally when I have dinner alone I do not spend too much time. But the food at Il Borgo makes it worth to stay a little longer. Also their red house wine was really great!

very good restaurant, not in a fancy location but businessmen seem to find this place easily. Good foo, good service, higher price range. Small menu but the products offered are top quality, well prepared.
