The Atelier is a great French bistro in the middle of the very Bavarian heart of Munich. Simple dishes but very well prepared, with love, served with a lot of attention, great public. Upper class ambiance, very good food and vines. Just did not find the art, difficult to find "art" in the management of a restaurant! Enjoy this place!

It's a pity that this place does not have menus in English (or maybe no menu at all?!) We asked for a menu in English, the waiter said there was none and walked away, we stayed put, could not understand the gesture but a couple of minutes later he returned with the huge wooden signboard in German saying it was... The place is interesting, the staff friendly, and the food, what there is of it, is good. However, the portions are small, and the prices are big. Never before have I seen beer served in a wine glass. I enjoyed my meal, but had to have something else to eat when I got home. And there is no lunchtime menu.

This restaurant was recommended to my husband by a French chef he met who said that it was worth a visit. We booked a table for last Saturday night and then I sat down and read some of the reviews on Tripadvisor, which were not very favourable! so it was with some trepidation that we set off on Saturday evening.... It was our first day in Munich and we were very hungry and it was late. We saw this place and went in. The inside is somewhat cozy and has potential. It was packed. We were seated near the door. Our waiter presented the menu board and proceeded to tell us that most dishes were "out". We asked about the... More

Very expensive for what you get in your plate. We were supposed to have ordered beef but end up with pork. The foods were not well cooked and the quantity mimimal, Same for the wine, just a bit in a glass for such a high price. Very dissappointed; you can get much better elsewhere for much less money. Also they... More

Had a table booked for 8pm. Was a very cold night, we arrived at the restaurant on time. It was half full with 3 tables for 2 laid up and another one right by the door with a couple sat at it. We were told we would have to wait for our table as the people hadn't finished, i said... More

This is a café/bistro so not fine dining and space is a bit limited. It may not be fine dining but it does offer very well cooked and tasty food, with a good variety of dishes. Overall the whole feel of the place is French with service, menu, great wine selection and plat du jour. I have only ever used... More

If you are tired of Bavarian specialities and want some lighter and healthier food - come inside! It's a small and cozy place with pleasant unobtrusive music in the narrow side street in the very center of Munich. They have wide choice of French vines by glass and a waiter can give you really good advice about it.

We went to L'atelier Art et Vin because a friend had recommended it. It's a centrally located, simple "French style" bistro, and we were expecting a nice lunch with some wine and French atmosphere at reasonable price before doing the weekend shopping. It was Saturday, early afternoon, lunch time. There were a few empty tables inside and we found a... More
