Nice places to drink in a huge garden. Without the oktoberfest we had the feel of it. Nicest place for a late night drink.

Rude waiters. I don't know if it's just a cultural difference between Germany and America (I am American), but in America we greet our patrons warmly and focus on service. I arrived at Augustiner-Keller after getting off a train, wanting to kill some time before...my next train. I approached a waiter with a question I had about the food. He snapped at me, "SIT. DOWN. MADAM." in such a loud, intense, and mean way that I immediately gathered my belongings and just left the premises. This is beyond just a cultural difference - I don't know of any place where it's okay to yell at young women visiting your restaurant. This was my first and only exposure to Germany, and based on this interaction, I am not impressed. I personally will not be returning for a long time. Maybe not ever.More

Great biergarten, amazing atmosphere, just love this place! Food is good and there's even a playground for the kids.

One of the few places in Munich with genuinely friendly waiters and staff. Made us feel very welcome. The food and beer were good and the atmosphere was very nice.

I visited Munich in April 2015 and June 2018. The automated date below is not correct. It was the first beer garden on our trip. Only a few blocks from our hotel. It was absolutely amazing. Visited many times. Incredibly huge. The service was awesome. Our...first beer came out of a wooden barrel 20 feet in front of us. It was a liter of the lager. I almost wept it was so good. The beer and the food was outstanding. Make sure you go inside of their indoor spot and venture into the basement. Pretty cool as long as you’re not claustrophobic. Its a tourist attraction.More

Beer garden and restaurant are huge and very very crowded and loud. Food is good and service is good and surprisingly fast. Beer is great. Worth visit at least once in life.

Very similar to Hofbräuhaus but feels less touristy for some reason. Excellent beer and good German pub fare. As it was raining, the place was quite packed. It took quite some time for the food to arrive.

The Aufustiner Keller is classy in Munich. The Beer is Perfect and the atmosphere is typical for a Brauhaus. The size of the meal was not that big. The quality was really good and the dessert was super. It is not only a tourism spot...you will definitely find some local people there.More

Great biergarten with great beer (Zoe course), typical food and swift service, but if you want to sit outside on a nice day you must book. The queues for those without bookings were pretty bracing.

I believe the reservations apply to the Keller building (inside) for sure and possibly for the waiter-service (tables with table cloths in a marked off section) section of the garden. But part of the fun is watching your... More
