Very stylish old/modern restaurant serving tatsy foods, great wine selection, special prices on champagne on certain hours.
Friendly and supern staff.
Located quietly 200m from the main shopping street
We were highly impressed by the restuarant--decor, staff, food, beverages and --well just everything. Our meals were perfection, including the cheese course sourced locally. There were other tourists there, but not too many--which is always a good sign.
I would have given a 5-star rating to this restaurant based on the quality of the food and service. Local wines were exquisite. Very tasty food and interesting combinations.
However, during our meal, there was a mice running around the floor. This is the first...time I ever come across this, and to me, this was a deal breaker. I notified immediately the waiter and he brushed me off saying - "oh it's normal, we have them around the restaurant!" I thought that was such an inappropriate response to what can be considered as unhygienic procedures.
They need to sort this out, as this is unacceptable!More
Avoid this place! After 1 hour waiting for the main course we finally managed to get attention of the waiter/manager, 30 min after no food arrived, and no one came to apologise
When we were leaving and told manager we are extremly disappointed with the...service, and that we eventually never got our food after 1,5 waiting. The manager started to shout out loud at myself and my step father!!!
I have never seen anythibg like this!
Once the waitress realised we were English she became quite hostile and unfriendly. She spilt water whilst pouring it, did not offer an apology but cleared it up. We ordered a bottle of wine, this was aggressively and carelessly poured every time our glasses were...topped up, so aggressively that every time small amounts were spilt over the table and glass stem.
We ordered the grilled beef which was supposed to be carved at our table, the waitress showed us the two cuts of beef, then took this to a vacant table nearby to carve them, which was not what was expected or detailed in the menu and was disappointing.
We witnessed the waitress being very friendly, smiling and engaging with all the surrounding tables.
I was made to feel very unwelcome by our waitress which was a shame as the food was actually delicious.
When it came time to pay the bill, she informed us that tips were not included and had the nerve to ask if I wanted to add one to the bill, I told her no and asked her if we still had wine in our bottle (which I knew we did), she begrudgingly said yes and went to go top us up.
Extremely disappointing visit as It cost me €100 to be made to feel unwelcome and inferior.
Food was amazing and I’m sure if you are not English or get a different waiter/waitress then it would be a great experience.More
A rustic and charming restaurant with a modern take on bavarian food. The service was friendly and professional, the wine was perfect and the food well-prepared and tasty.
Simply foodalicious! Highly recommended.
Beer, bratwurst & pretzels are not a favorite, so this spot was a surprising & delicious treat. Beef tartare, salad with bacon wrapped goat cheese, sweetbreads, beautifully served, elegantly prepared. Returning tomorrow for another round...
