About a 10 minute walk from Kolumbusplatz U-bahn station, this is out of the city a little but well worth visiting. Was very quiet when we visited due to it being Easter Sunday. Can imagine would be excellent on a night, beer very nice, staff very friendly and helpful.

Oktoberfest is a wonderful time to visit Munich and as this was close to our hotel we were dragged along to here by a member of staff. The place serves food and good German beer. it can get quite rowdy at times and is mostly populated by a younger audience but i was told by people who live nearby that... More

Disillusioned with German beer, they sell it as something special and it's a bar to deceived tourists

Nice atmosphere, a lot of people wearing Bavarian traditional clothes. The only bad thing is that waitresses are not really pleasant, and speak bad English. One beer tip: be careful with Paulaner Salvator (red beer), it's too strong, and if you drink more of it, expect terrible headache :)

I visited with friends for starkbierfest and, although it's not the best venue I have visited for this fest, it is possible to get in without a reservation. The food was good and the bier really nice and I would like to visit the regular restaurant in the future.

This is a very nice place to experience the classic Bavarian food and beer. I would recommend the beer carousel as a start, allowing you to taste 5 different beers in smaller glasses, to find YOUR favorite. The ambience is nice, service is kind and effective, and we didn't wait long for our food. The layout even allowed us to... More

The place is a huge dining hall designed for international tourists and definitely not for local German costumers who demand quality and traditional ways. Regular courses cost two to three times the normal price you pay at local Munich places. Staff is of foreign origin and speaks bad German. They make a funny appearance in their traditional German dressings. Just... More

If you want to have a loud & nice time in a beer garden in the summer, this is the place to be. But do not expect super service or high quality food. The food quality is probably a little better than average & reasonable for what 1 pays. However, you can definitely have a great time seated outside with... More

I was dining with a large group of colleagues about a week and a half ago. At some point, a small child started to cry and fuss. The restaurant is a noisy, bustling place and we hardly noticed. Out of the blue, a waiter SCREAMED at the top of lungs at the child. The waiter was speaking in German, so... More
