Stopped off at the Paulaner am Nockherberg for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was quick, food portions generous and at 42 Euros for 2, not too expensive. The only minus point for me was that the day we went their EC/Visa/Mastercard terminal was out of order, off-line if you prefer, which meant a rainy 30 minutes walk to... More

Came here after a funeral as a group of 8. We sat in the beer garden. It was wonderful. The food was exceptional. Most of the party were English and spoke very little German. We all enjoyed the food and the waiter spoke very good English and guided us through the menu. Would absolutely recommend if you are in the... More

Arrived after a walk due to no trams running due to a car/tram collision...sat in the wonderful beer garden to cool down with a Weiss bier. Moved and sat in the wonderful bier hall, where the rare Nockerberg bier was served, wonderful bier, thats why i made the journey to this off the tourist track location, For Dinner I had... More

It is classical bavarian biergarden, with great paulaner bier, and great food. In biergarden, with a selfservice you will find basic bavarian dishes, and even more at the restaurant inside. Outside, there is a lot if space, you can bring your own food, as it is a biergarden tradition that food is allowed and drinks not. There is a simple... More

The garden (self service) offers a food mass production with average quality, but especially the food is too expensive. The "brotzeitteller" for ~10 is Ok, but for every slice of bread they charge 1,20 € on top. This is not acceptable. "Helles" beer you can only buy in 1 litre units. "Weissbeer" you can order as well in 0.5 litre... More

If the beer garden is open and the weather is right it is worth going here. The Wirtshaus itself and food is nothing special though. The attitude of the service personal is your usual abrasive Bavarian Beerhall one which can feel rude to non-Germans. However, a must during the "Starkbierzeit" in spring when the cellar is open!

A large, clean and well organized biergarten but when I compare to others with a similar size e.g. Hofbraukeller at Wienerplatz, I find Nockherberg less friendly and somehow less cosy. The beer is excellent (of course) but the food is overpriced for the small portions. I have occasionally complained about the not quite full glass but this is not unusual... More

This bier hall with biergarden lies a bit outside the main touristic areas in Munich. This could easily justify why most of the guests are locals. I would say the experience is similar to what you can have at HB or Augustiner but here you don't have to care about booking a table in advance. I recommend it to anyone... More

If you like beer this is a place to visit while in Munich. They have a Keller bier there that you can only get at the Brauhaus on tap, I order it all the time, it's a very good bier. Also, have a lot of other Paulaner beers on tap that we found to be very good as well. You... More
