After a week in Germany and Austria we needed an alternative type of food. We selected Banyan a northern Vietnamese restaurant. We arrived without reservations and were told that they were booked for the evening. They were so kind to allow my wife and I to stay. We ordered ribs that were outstanding. This was followed by two types of... More

A rainy Saturday evening in Munich and we had been to all of the restaurants within walking distance of our hotel at Harras. We took the subway 3 stations to Goethe Street and walked up several blocks in an area very unlikely to harbor any restaurants. But there it was. Banyan. The restaurant, not the tree. As walk-ins, we were... More

Go to Banyan for above-average and authentic Vientamese cuisine. The menue is quite rich and comes with all typical Vietnamese signature dishes like Pho Bo, Rolls, and lots of fresh herbs. Prices are clearly upscale and so is the atmosphere. But the food is truly excellent and well above in terms of typical Vietnamese restaurants in Munich. Always full so... More

We were there to celebrate our two years anniversary. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice and cozy. The duck we ordered taste really good and the spring rolls too! But we ordered two appetizer and they bring the wrong one my bf is not an Asian food expert so he took a bite and it turned out it... More

Probably the best Vietnamese restaurant in Munich. I have been there several times and on each occasion the food and service have been excellent. The place is pricey but you pay for quality I suppose. It is always very busy and reservations are a must, especially on weekends.

Meal: large choice. Excellent quality but I wouldn't say it's as authentic as in Vietnam. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you want viet food in Europe. Satay skewers, crab nems, crispy chicken on pakchoi, self made summer rolls with shrimps, fresh mangoes and champagne with mango sorbet. Atmosphere: loved the asian decoration but it was really hot. Lots of... More

We had a delightful foody experience. I'm Vietnamese and have high expectations when it comes to Vietnamese food which was fulfilled at Banyan's :) 1. Food was excellent and authentic. I ordered a fried Dorade fish. It looked and smelled like at my mum's place which means yummy... It was sooo big that I thought I would never eat it... More

Delightful service, pleasant decor and a fresh gourmet Vietnamese dishes from north and south. If you want nems and sweet and sour dishes don't go: this is the real thing at reasonable prices. A delight and I will definitely go back

Really nice authentic food. Be aware, the portions are very big so why not share some starters? The duck dishes were popular in our group. Great fruit for desert if you can fit anything still. Do try the Vietnamese coffee, very special indeed!
