Guglhupf opens at 8 am, which is quite exceptional for Munich oldtown. Although i just had breakfast in guglhupf cafe, the food was great and the atmosphere of that place was charming! Very friendly and caring staff. Great cakes and very good coffee. I strongly recommend this cafe for having a feel-good break from the bustling city.

The perfect place to hide indoors and to get warm again having walked about in a bitter cold, windy and snowy München in early November for a few hours. A nice cup of hot chocolate and a piece of cake did the work :-) Having waitresses dressed in the traditional Bavarian dresses also puts an extra flavor to the experience.... More

Great cafe that was open on Sunday when a lot of places were closed. Staff were extremely friendly and they had an English menu to read. Excellent food at a good price.

Now I know what is a Guglhupf. Some German cake with light and dark sections which however taste the same to me. A local told me to dunk the cake into my coffee to make it more moist. This is true but not my taste of cake and the I had the crumbs in my coffee. Overall a nice place... More

Stopped in during a day of sightseeing just to take a break. And to rest our feet. We just had soup. But it was really good. Generous portions. The wife had a Serb bean soup, and I had the homemade tomato soup. The soup was good, and we lingered. The wait staff was dressed in the traditional drindls.

There were almost empty nevertheless the midday and crowd of tourists on the streets. The food was also tasty and not expansive.

We visit this Bayerische cafe for Breakfast. Nice staff, ordinary food, a little bit expensive. But we recommend IT for s Breakfast.

A typical Bavarian restaurant, very crowded at lunchtime, lot of local people as well. Good value for money with meal of the day, beer price moderate. Open only at daytime, no dinner service. Very friendly and fast service. Worth visiting!
