Arriving in the evening in Munich for a five-day stay and having settled into our hotel, we thought it was time to have a meal before turning in for the night. We asked the reception for a suggestion in the neighborhood and were directed to this establishment. At the door we were told that the restaurant was fully booked. Soon... More

I saw this place on trip advisor had good reviews so wanted to try it out. We had a good experience. Food & beer both really good. The food took an hour tho so we had one too many beers while waiting. All ok when on a holiday tho and not rushing off anywhere. The place had a good vibe... More

We spent our New Year's Eve at this bavarian beer house. As Wikipedia writes:"it is Munich's oldest independent brewery, founded in 1328". Food was excellent (don't miss the duck!!!), beer was flowing and the atmosphere was great (even our kids had a great time, dancing non stop). Service is quick. Though it's recommended to make a reservation, we went there... More

The place is out of the centre where all tourists gather. It is very nice inside with two large rooms. Service is fast, food is by far better than any other place, less salty and good price (see the picture of the bill). One of the two rooms looks like just for drinks (noisy) and the other (the one we... More

We walked in and the place was packed. There were people singing at the top of their lungs all night long. The food was good and the atmosphere was buzzing. We did get lucky and found a table big enough for all of us. I have had better food in Germany but if the experience in the downtown Munich area... More

A typical Bavarian restaurant/bierstube with typical Bavarian food and beverage. Service is very quick and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Food is average. The Schweinshaxe was a bit on the dry side. But the beer was (as always in Munich) a treat.

Visited here 4 times over the course of our stay last week and every time it was brilliant. A little walk away from the main town center, its definitely worth visiting. By far the cheapest beer house in Munich for both food and drinks, only 2,75€ for a Helles (compared to 4,50€ in some places in town!!). The food portions... More

We were recommended to come to this restaurant for dinner and the truth is that it was a little disappointing! The waiter who waited on us was very unfriendly! The food was good 6'5/10 but you could eat much cheaper and better traditional dishes at Christmas places on the street. Very poor quality / price
