Located centrally, this was a really nice gastro-pub that had beautiful pork knuckle and great beer. Their specials can get a bit "chefy", so my advice is to stick to the traditional Bavarian fare. The meal was well priced, and the service came good towards the end (more jovial, less stressed). I would definitely go back.

Our family of four ate here and all really enjoyed our food! One dish that stood out was the King Prawn Risotto. It was cocktail sauce risotto with herbs and four cooked king prawns. We even told the chef that it was the best risotto we had ever tasted. Also it happened to be a great night to sit on... More

We were Looking for traditional Babarian fare and found it at WZS. First impression was positive- most of the diners this evening were locals- always a good sign. With the nice weather, we were seatedin the inside courtyard, with lots of atmosphere, a cool breeze and casual ambiance. Wanting to try as much as possible given only people, we ordered... More

This was a fun place to have some good schnitzel and Beer right off the Marine Platz in Munich. The service is good but it is definitely a locals place we did not see many tourists. We enjoyed a couple beers and some traditional meals like roasted pork and schnitzel - both were great. If you want a quiet authenticate... More

My fiancée and I came across this place via tripadvisor. We liked the idea of authentic German cuisine while on a long weekend away. We went long following a morning tour and have to say the outside of the building was somewhat unassuming. Nevertheless we thought we'd try it. We chose to sit in the beer garden as the weather... This place is always busy, of good reasons. When you can get a seat, you are sure to get good and friendly service also in English. They have some of the most authentic bavarian food Ive tried in Munich, their schweinhaxen is so juicy and delicious, can recommend a visit for anyone that would like good local food.

I have visited this local many times and have had various different dishes ranging from Käse Spätzle to the roast pork. I have been happy with the quality of the food everytime and the beer is a favourable price! Would recommend to visitors to Munich as an alternative to some of the more touristy locals around Marienplatz.

The food here was good, but not the best we have had. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin special which was quite tough and chewy. The service was good and it is a nice atmosphere inside, but we would try another restaurant on our next visit.

I had the goulash. Maybe the best I have ever had. Tender beef. Perfectly done. Service was very good, and the waitress was helpful. Recommended it to coworkers who visited the next night.
