Incredible schnitzel at a fair price. The staff were very friendly and spoke English enough that it was not an issue. We loved it!

A popular local schnitzel place with character, or attitude, depending how you viewed it. Went because of the good google reviews and they were serving the in season white asparagus. Indeed like some reviews mentioned here, the restaurant does give you a kind of intimidating...feeling when you do not look local, could not speak German and the staff ignore your presence. Stood at the entrance for 2 minutes and no one came to us but with bar counter staff staring like we are aliens. Strange, and we proceed by ourselves to the backyard garden. Still no one greeted us as if we were transparent. After a good while, the manager walked over and asked if we can wait for 15 minutes and they can give us a table. Things improved after this conversation and in less than 5 minutes we were seated. Food were tasty and priced reasonable for the portion and quality. Other than the initial cold shoulder given, service was pretty okay after that. Will be back for schnitzel when in Munich.More

The restaurant is about a 15 minute walk from Marienplatz. Outdoor seating hasn’t been put out yet, still a tad cool in Munich. Schnitzels are the specialty and they have established a reputation. First thing I had was the goulash paprika soup which was sensational....Tasty with a little spice added with vegetables and beef. A word of warning about the schnitzels; they are enormous and I’ve seen some surprised at the size. Some end up taking leftovers home. Service was good and the waiter looks around curiously if people can manage to finish their food. I finished mine but it was a struggle. Be sure to try the potato and cucumber salad as a side; it’s one of those German side dishes. Although schnitzels are not my personal favourite, it tends to colour my personal judgement. Overall, I would recommend it but go there hungry and bring cash (cards not accepted).More

Worst customer service. We were a party of 9 and we wanted to try out this restaurant due to their ratings on TripAdvisor. They were not accommodating on trying to get a table for 9 or split our group into 2, all they did was...raised their voice at us as if they did not want to serve us. The place was not even half full. Well you lost a very good tip and business from me and our group. We decided to go to the restaurant across the street and they provided way better service and were very happy that we spent a few hundred euros on food and drinks plus a 20% from our group for excellent food and service.More

This neighbourhood restaurant serves huge schnitzels at keen prices. I think there is indoor seating, but we along with everyone else sat outside in the leafy courtyard on a balmy spring evening. Service was typical for a busy place, efficient enough and not unfriendly. I...do wish Germany would adopt the Japanese practice of banning smoking outside except in designated areas. As a non smoker (and asthmatic), I would like to be able to enjoy my meal in a smoke free environment.More

Food portions were good. Our waiter could care less about us and bordered on rude. Food tasted okay. The garten was nice but everyone smokes.

You have got to go for the schnitzel. They are very tasty, but only go if you are hungry - being Irish and not liking to be beaten, we made sure to finish, then waddled around the old town like stuffed eejits, thinking we may...not have to eat for the rest of our city break. The owner / waiter is a character and is entertaining to watch as you tackle your meal. The beer is also good - go for the dunkel. Service is attentive in spite of the restaurant being very busy. Complementary shot at the end was also a nice touch.More

I wanted to go there, it was my last days in Munich. I came there with my luggage and then I realised They do not accept card just cash only. I was disappointed and hungry so I just go to the opposite burger restaurant. I...did not eat anything so I do not have any feedback about the famous food just this small experience I couldnt eat there.. I hope they will accept card soon!More

The portions are fairly big and the price range is quite good. In this case big portions doesn't mean poor quality. The schnitzel was tasty and the meat tender. They have a nice variety of different type of schnitzel. I could not find another place...in Munich with the same options. Overall it is an affordable restaurant (for Munich standard), with tasty food. The ambience is normal, nothing outstanding. The only downside in my opinion is that they do not accept payment with cards. So to sum up, if you want to have some schnitzel while in Munich, I definitely recommend this place, but don't forget to bring cash.More

The Snitzel and Cordon Bleu are huge and very tasty. However, it is amazing that in the 2022 a restaurant in the center of a city like Munich does not allow to pay with card. From a group of friends, we had to pay 300€...in cash…crazy!!!More

I stayed close to this restaurant on my most recent trip, and seeing the reviews motivated me to try it. I like weinersnitzel and ordered the spicy veal version. It is enormous, with two pieces, each of which was larger than I received at two...other restaurants. The veal is quite good and of high quality, but the spicy covering was very thick and a lot of it came off all over the plate. It seemed like it needed just a bit more roasting, or perhaps a bit more thinning of the snitzels. You also get a lot of fries and a large salad. It's enough for two pretty hungry people. All in all, very good, but not quite outstanding. I had a better (but much smaller) wienersnitzel the following week. Service was very good and very friendly. If I was very hungry I would return. Also good beer.More

Like all of you, I did my research and this location kept coming up with amazing food and presence. So when in Munich, me and the wife stopped by for supper and the food did not let us down. The portions were large and when...the plate hit the table it was hot.. All around, AMAZING!!!! remember to bring your appetite...More

It’s always busy throughout the year, so I would imagine the same during Octoberfest. Just get there in good time to get a table. Definitely worth while.
