When in Munich one has to visit a Beer Hall and this is one of the larger ones around. We went on a night where a traditional German folk dancing club had reserved the entire front of the hall but a large side room was luckily open for everyone else. Make sure you get there early to get a table... More

Worst service I've received in Europe. We had a table of 5 and we all got one round of beer and never looked at again. We repeatedly asked for water and another round and after another hour and a half asked for the check 3 times before walking up to the register and demanding the check. All the waiters and... More

We wanted to experience all 3 of the main German beers in Germany, so we started with Lowenbrau, with this also being the first of our experiences in a German beer garden. We were not disappointed by the atmosphere (in the outdoor area) as it was very lively, but it wasn't matched by the staff as none of whom seem... More

Visited here as their website stated that they show Bayern Munich games. Alas this was not the case. Despite this we decided to stay for a drink and when informing the staff we were not planning on eating our treatment didn't change, as it can with similar venues. We had drinks but not food so I cannot comment on food,... More

I found this restaurant, from trip advisor. I cannot understand the taste of some people. The dishes were very expensive. We paid for a mixed grill (for two) 42 euros. The dish was very average and not that tasty. The schnitzel costs 21 euros but the plate should worth max 10 euros. We were very unlucky because we failed to visit... More

My wife and I had dinner on a Saturday evening - the place was packed and service was a bit slow but ok. The food was very good and we had the real beer garden experience. The were a bit skimpy with the sauerkraut but everything else was good.

The "strong beer" was good and the apple strudel was very tasty. Waitress didn't seem interested in serving tourists, but wasn't overtly rude. We did enjoy the atmosphere.

Every region of Bavaria has its traditional ingredients, dishes and cooking methods. These decisively shape the image of the region and are important both for the sense of home for locals and me as tourist. The Löwenbräukeller offers this culinary variety of regional cuisine and thus cultivates a piece of Bavarian pub and kitchen culture. Great experience, much too big... More

I understand it is a tourist type place and my expectations were not really high but even then I was disappointed. The good news is the beer and wine were good. So were the pretzels (at €1.50 ea). That's it for the good news. I ordered the Wurst plate and that lived up to its name. Two of the wurst... More
