Located in calm corner downtown, it is quite pleasant place with also a nice internal garden for the days with no rain. Cuisine is maybe not the top of the top. But it is fully local with some special choices like tongue, or veal head, and prepared in a rather refined manner, quite better and lighter than most typical German... More

-Food: As in many other places in Bavaria, the food plenty, good quality and nicely prepared. -Value for money: More expensive than stardard Bavarian. -Service: Very good.

Highly recommended! Delicious restaurant with a local, authentic feel. Food was tasty and service was great. Wine recommendations were spot on.

This is close to Marienplatz but is far from the tourist crowd. Tucked up a side street it attracts a more local crowd. I have been coming here for many years when visiting Munich. Only Bavarian on the menu and best to stick to Pork knuckle, roast duck or sausages. I love their crispy roast duck with red cabbage and... More

Love the pipping hot apple strudel with vanilla sauce. Is awesome. Craved for more. Everything blends well. Is neither too sweet nor too bland

I was traveling alone in Munich and read review after review of where to go for traditional Bavarian food. After much comparing I decided to come here because it was smaller and seemed more authentic. To be fair, any restaurant near the center of town will be at least somewhat touristy, just an observation. Anyway, I went without a reservation... More

Nice restaurant that serves similar and arguably better Bavarian food and beer to some of the bigger beer halls and brewhouses but with a much more quiet, more relaxed atmosphere making it ideal for a business dinner.

Really disappointing food. The sauerbraten was tough, dry cardboard. The sauce put the "sour" in sauerbraten. The red cabbage (Rotkraut) was bitter and sour. I had to mix a packet on Splenda into it so I could eat some. The bread dumplings were like tennis balls. And all for 40 euro! Pricey. For a much better meal go to Spantenhaus.

Typical german/bavarian restaurant with all waiters drassign typical clothes. Big tables to be shared with other people and very friendly atmosphere. We had two onion soups as entries, one pork knuckle and roasted beef and two apfelstrudel! As drinks one beer, a bottle of water and a glass of white wine. Good quality and good service. The overall bill was... More

Don't really know about the other items on the menu, since we only stopped in for their incredible dessert, called Kaiserschmarrn. Warning - its huge and very good, and i am sure its loaded with calories, but who cares you are in Munich
