Chez Philippe is a small restaurant with good food and service. I opted for the surprise menu, I asked for it to be gliten free and that was no problem. Both the surprise menu and the a la carte was good with enough choice to please most. The wine was also good but perhaps that's because I enjoy French wine... More

This nice white table cloth brasserie is hosted and served by the enthusiastic owner. The menu items were innovative and tasty. The "chef's surprise," a prix fixe menu, was attractive and very tasty. However, we found the prices quite high for Munich, and the wine by the glass servings were smaller than expected. So, bring money if you want to... More

Chez Philippe in Munich was highly recommended to me by friends. So when I did visit Munich we decided to give it a try. Our expectations were high and were met completely. As a matter of fact food and service were even better than expected. The young waitress (Sarah) was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help... More

Small restaurant and very homely. Great service. Food was good and the 3 or 4 course surprise menu came out really nice with the duck especially delicious. They can cook to suit your dietary requirements. Downside is that it was a little pricey when compared to the restaurants around the area.

Chez Philippe is a really good restaurant. You can choose between 4 menus, with astonishing tastes. You can discover some new associations of food! The wine was really good, even if my preference was on the desert !!! I would have liked to taste all of the deserts!!! The chief and the waiter are thoughtful poeple. You can have the... More

Chez Philippe is one of those fabulous places that nobody could reasonably expect to come across in Munich, of all places, and is well worth the short subway or taxi ride from the city center. Located in an obscure part of Giesing, a non-gentriied working class district of Munich, Chez Philippe is perhaps the most romantic restaurant in town. The... More
