We just went there because it rained cats and dogs and we were very hungry. First, we saw a table with just one chair and we told that the stuff but they did not help us! Then, we found another table. The food tasted like cooked since yesterday and it was not really good German food (I am German, I... More

We ate here after coming to Hohenschwangua to see the castles. Although this city is literally teaming with tourists and buses, the food here was surprising good and the service excellent. We had schnitzel and Spaetzle with mushroom gravy and a few beers. We also has Apple Struedel. All in all, pretty good. The choices are limited in this city,... More

I was eating here for lunch after my visit to Neuschwanstein castle on Dec 2015. I order Schweinshaxe and chicken snitzhel which is traditionally cooked on bavarian style. The taste is average for me. The schweinshaxe is a bit too wet for me, I like the fry one, especially the skin. The taste of chicken snitzhel also nothing spoecial. But... More

This is the restaurant attached to the hotel. A great place to eat and after the tourists go home at 6pm, one of the only places to eat in the village. The food was delicious and very filling

Great service with delicious food ! The restaurant is very close to the ticket center and it deserves a stop for lunch or even just for a dessert.

When the crowds visiting the castles leave, dine here to enjoy the tranquill evening outdoors. Bavarian food is reasonably priced, service and food is good and ambience is very relaxing. Parking is limited but once crown leaves, there is plenty of parking around.

Chose this restaurant because there is quite limited choice in the area. Meal was very average and relatively expensive. Service was not really very attentive.

It seems as though the main entrance to the hotel is through the typical Bavarian style restaurant. German food of average quality, staff are decent enough linguists, reasonable lavatories downstairs. Pass through, eat and be on your way.

A most reasonable place to have a beer and rest between the castles or have a bite to eat at the end of the day. I am a sucker for liber jade and their's is quite acceptable.

We stayed here late june, and got a double room on the top floor where our balcony faced the castle. Had a great stay here, the staff were fantastic. Food was also good. Nice little gift shop attached to the hotel, and also a little fast food stall in the small car park for sausages n fries etc.

Thank maclinley
