Great service with delicious food ! The restaurant is very close to the ticket center and it deserves a stop for lunch or even just for a dessert.

When the crowds visiting the castles leave, dine here to enjoy the tranquill evening outdoors. Bavarian food is reasonably priced, service and food is good and ambience is very relaxing. Parking is limited but once crown leaves, there is plenty of parking around.

Chose this restaurant because there is quite limited choice in the area. Meal was very average and relatively expensive. Service was not really very attentive.

It seems as though the main entrance to the hotel is through the typical Bavarian style restaurant. German food of average quality, staff are decent enough linguists, reasonable lavatories downstairs. Pass through, eat and be on your way.

A most reasonable place to have a beer and rest between the castles or have a bite to eat at the end of the day. I am a sucker for liber jade and their's is quite acceptable.

We stayed here late june, and got a double room on the top floor where our balcony faced the castle. Had a great stay here, the staff were fantastic. Food was also good. Nice little gift shop attached to the hotel, and also a little fast food stall in the small car park for sausages n fries etc.

If you are staying in this sleepy little town to be beneath the stunning castles, outside of 1 or 2 hotels serving dinner to their guests I believe this may be the only restaurant open later for dinner. We walked from our hotel (Hotel Villa Ludwig - a must stay!) in about 3 minutes. They have a nice outdoor seating... More

We had gotten to town a little late in the day and wanted to venture out and see some sights before concerning ourselves with dinner plans. We ended back at our hotel after trying another place in the next town over only to find out it was closed! The hotels food was good and filled our needs for that night.... More

In Hohenschwangau they "flip up the sidewalks" after most of the tourists leave for the day, and most restaurants close early. Alpenstuben stays open until 9pm. Excellent food, at comparatively reasonable prices for a touristy place like this.

We were staying nearby and were looking for a good dinner soot. The reviews of this restaurant were very good and so we decided to give it a shot. We ate outside and really enjoyed the biergarten-like atmosphere. We also had a great meal with excellent beer which further enhanced the experience. However, I removed one star for the service....
