This place earns its reputation for great simple German fare. The food is unfussy and comes in Bavarian proportions! I had venison medallions on one visit and a grillphanne of mushrooms and veal on a second outing. Both were great. The service was attentive and...More

We found this place quite by chance. Looked at the menu outside and decided to go in . Greeted warmly by a lovely friendly waitress. Sat at a table for two . The menu is in German and English. We decided to try the venison....More

We reserved and the 4 of us (parents/grown sons) arrived on time at 19:30pm. On entering it was quite full and no one initially paid any attention to us until we were clearly "in the way". Shown to our table without even a hello/welcome we...More

From other reviews, we saw that you needed reservations after 7. Visiting a little earlier in the evening gave us a chance to get seated before the crowd started to roll in. Salad was huge. Schnitzel and sausage/sauerkraut did not disappoint. Unfortunately, we didn’t hang...More

We were seated walking in on a Friday night without reservations, even though it was rather busy. I really liked my wife's fried potatoes more than the dumpling that came with my meal. Otherwise saurbraten and schnitzel main courses were both great. Atmosphere: Great Service:...More

The Wildschutz has to be the best in town but this has to be the second best. Only a couple of doors away and easier to get a table. Great atmosphere and great food.. What's not to like.
