We chose this place for lunch, it looked inviting with the flowers and tables set in the garden in the sunshine. We had 2 Colas and 2 very good main meals for just under 25 Euros served by very pleasant staff.

Very friendly staff - one of us had the smoked trout salad which was excellent while the other attempted, without success, to do justice to the schweinshanx mit sauerkraut und semmelknodel. The latter, crowned with a Bavarian flag, was solid to say the least but the pork was excellent with crisp crackling - the only issue was the amount -... More

I enjoy this typical Bavarian restaurant. Good, inexpensive food and with a great view of the mountains and the Eagle's Nest.

There is a great outdoor area which on a sunny day does lend itself to enjoying a couple of beers (wine for me). The gasthaus is centrally located which is an added bonus. The food is honest pub food. So not great but not inedible either. I rather like taking the time out to eat simply and the staff were... More

Went went there yesterday as it was across the street from the church and cemetery. Being it was a beautiful day we enjoyed being outside under the crystal clear blue skies and ordered 2 50cl of the wheat beers which were like 3.8 euros. When then split the Jaggerschnitzel for 12.50 which was pretty good - the meat was a... More

Regional food here is delicious, plentiful (one dish enough for two people) and inexpensive. Dining is outdoors.

On the plus side, its right in town and centrally located. Service was fine, but the food was just average. Nothing remarkable about it. Fine place to stop and have a meal, but don't expect to be blown away.

This is a fun, traditional and friendly place to eat, I had to try a “real German Wiener Schnitzel” and I wasn’t disappointed, my wife had a Veggie dish called Kaesespaetzle which was recommended and was prepared very well, don’t be frustrated by the lack of English, the staff if helpful and you will muddle through, its all part of... I have visited Berchtesgaden on many occasions, but just never ate at the Hotel Watzmann restaurant before. What a pleasant surprise! The menu is extensive, prices decent, food wonderful. I had Hirsch-Goulasch and the meat was very tender and tasty. Also had a delicious Kaiserschmarrn. The decor is breath-taking, if you enjoy traditional Bavarian (antique) decor. I actually ate dinner... More
