No history at the venue, it's just a restaurant now. Best views I have ever seen from a public building.

This has to be on your bucket list if you're into military history as I am. There's no wonder Hitler loved it there, the views are stunning!

This place is in my lifetime top ten. I have been visiting for over 30 years and it does not disappoint still. Yes it is busy, but my advice is aim to get the first bus up and get back down by about lunchtime. No queues for us. Take care with the little ones at the top and choose a... More

A fabulous view of the surrounding area accompanies all food and beverages here. A cold meat platter with farmhouse bread proved very good value for money and tasty and washed down with the customary beer. Service is remarkably good considering the crowds dining - think the staff must have eyes in the back of their heads to keep on top... More

Eagles Nest. Queues, Queues, Queues. Be prepared to wait. We went on a warm Sunday in the school holidays, so obviously it was going to be busy. Nowhere to park. Queued to park. €3 to park for the day. Queued to buy tickets (€16.50 each). Queued for the toilet (only 4 toilets for ladies). Got onto a bus which takes... More

Food is pretty good, considering it has to come all the way up the mountain! Outside on a beautiful day has fantastic views! Hard to think what the original site contained!!!!

We were here with our kids and all enjoyed our meals. My husband and I had the deer stew (hirschgulasch), which was very good. Our kids had the kids schnitzel and we all enjoyed the fabulous views of the surroundings.

for views alone worth a visit (20 minute drive to a bus station) followed by 20 minute hairy bus drive, 100 yard walk through a tunnel and then up in a brass lift!, as a restaurant okay, but sits uncomfortably with hundreds of simultaneous tourists there for the views/history. Sadly but to a degree understandably its recent WW2 history airbrushed... More

Although there is a captive audience at the Kehlsteinhaus the staff are courteous and quick but they don't rush you. The food was hot and good. The wait staff can speak any language you need them to speak. I am impressed by their talented balancing of full trays while maneuvering around tourists wandering through. Try the goulash on a cool... More
