I went to La piazza on a Friday lunch with friends, we had good food in a welcoming environment. I would recommend tagliatelle with cream sauce, and spaghetti aglio olio and peperoncino. The tiramisù was delicious. The service was sometimes slow, because there was just one waiter and the restaurant was full. But the waiter was kind and professional. The staff (Giovanni and Igor) was friendly and I would recommend this restaurant.

Reliably good food

I've eaten here on a few occasions and it's always been good. The prices are reasonable, the food tastes good and the service is friendly. It doesn't quite have the "wow" for five stars (on my most recent visit we also went to another italian that's getting 5 for food that was just a bit nicer all round. The restaurant is always busy (a good sign) and can be a bit noisy when full, but it's a good reliable choice.

We ate here on our 2nd night in Stuttgart at the recommendation of the hotel. Our food was quite good -- I ordered a pizza, my daughter ordered the veggie risotto (REALLY good), and we each had a glass of wine. Very reasonable prices. We don't speak German or Italian, and I found the wait staff to be a little brash, not very friendly nor helpful. As another poster said, they seem to be friendly to the regulars, but we couldn't manage to connect with a waiter for a 2nd glass of wine (so we skipped it), and it took us several times to flag someone down to get the bill. There were multiple waiters for our table, it seems they all share responsibilities. And I wasn't being a rush-rush-rush American, either, I understand the sitting and enjoying the food, etc, but here I was getting itchy after 20 minutes to pay the bill and continue on with our night. Given that, I would still come back to this restaurant when we are in the area.

I was with a group of friends of 15 people. They brought everyone their food and when I asked them about mine, "I forgot to write down your food." 15 minutes later (when all my friends were finished) they bring me my food. Very upset, I spoke to the person in charge, to which he reacted very badly and didn't even apologize. He also doesn't offer me any free drinks or discounts. The surprise was when I spoke to my friends and they said the restaurant manager was also rude and unprofessional towards them. In any case, none of the 15 people who went there yesterday will come back and I don't recommend it to anyone. We went to dinner with a group of friends. From the beginning they treated us in a very bad manner, but this attitude continued throughout the dinner and they forgot part of the dishes we had ordered. He did not apologize at any time and until the end he treated us badly. I will never return there again nor will my friends. We all talked about the bad treatment and the food, nothing special.

We have been there regularly since La Piazza opened. Most recently yesterday evening. Unfortunately, I have to say that the quality has steadily declined and the prices have steadily increased. There is now a big discrepancy. Yesterday the pasta was overcooked, the tomato sauce was really inedible, the pizza with grilled vegetables had a mixture of frozen vegetables on it. In the lasagne, you had to search for the Bolognese sauce, everything was covered in tomato sauce. Unfortunately, La Piazza, which was very good for years, is no longer recommended. Pity

Pizza was good and service was slow but expected. What I realized all too late was that barely any COVID-19 measures were taken: not a single staff member had on a mask, tables were not sanitized as people left and we were never asked to fill out a contact tracing form. We were there on a whim as my two small kids were hangry and I stopped in quickly to get them fed and recharged. Had I noticed sooner that I was the only one with a mask on when I walked in, I would have gone somewhere else.

The food is kind of ok but the service could not be worse. No smile, no polite attitude. For example we asked if it would be possible to have only potatoes without spinach as a side meal for the meet. The answer was: No we are too busy to put the spinach away. No joke!

I ordered 4 pizzas here today by phone for lunchtime. When I wanted to pick them up, they weren't ready for pick up yet. That was annoying for me and my colleague because we had a customer meeting, but it was still understandable for me at lunchtime (as we know there's a lot more going on at lunchtime). So I was asked to sit down and wait. Of course I did that and used the time to check my emails. When the pizzas were ready, I asked if they could still cut them (if they weren't already cut). The waiter was then very annoyed and said grumpily, “Well, you have to tell us beforehand, it’s time!!” and that’s not possible! I then apologized (I could have actually asked earlier) and said that I hadn't thought of that before or that I assumed they were already cut anyway. But that wasn't enough! The waiter continued to be annoyed and said that I was on my cell phone the whole time anyway and he wanted to ask me for the bill. I said I probably didn't hear him since I wasn't going to ignore him. Why should I do that?! He didn't let up and continued to shuffle (while he was running, so that others could also hear it). Today's generation is only on cell phones and cell phones should be banned here and so on..!! That was truly AMAZING! Even when I was paying, he continued to talk! I politely pointed out that I probably hadn't heard him and had no reason to ignore him and apologized to the other employee for the inconvenience (cutting the pizzas?!). I really can't believe what happened to me there and how hatefully I was treated there! I have NEVER experienced anything like this before!! The pizza was good, but I would NEVER go there again!!! Excellent ravioli - melt in the mouth. The pizza was delicious, with a light base and a variety of toppings. And washed down with chilled draught beer. Service was good and food was value for money. Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends. Only negative - no English menu!!

Light and roomy, but still intimate

My friend and I had a lovely and affordable meal here, while enjoying the convivial atmosphere. Gusts were welcomed like the old friends they probably were, and we felt we were being immersed in the general warmth. The menu has various interesting, even surprising, dishes. Unlike other contributors to TripAdvisor, we were served promptly and friendly.

This restaurant has a modern settings that fits - it's a good atmosphere for dining. The food is good, maybe even very good at these prices. What is really disappointing though is the efficient staff that lacks any customer awareness. You will be waited on very swiftly but you will also be totally ignored. Your dinner will get to your table but the waiter will already be walking and looking away before the plate hits your table. No smiles whatsoever, unless you're an apparent regular.

Good Breakfast

I had breakfast there! I ordered scrambled Eggs and cheese and hot chocolate both were good! Service was good too. There is also outdoor setting but unfortunatly it was raining!
