After a 4 hour trip in the car we settled in Heidelberg and were hungry. We went to Hugo Wine & Dine. Situated in a rather busy street the ambiance is nice, good service and not to forget very clean sanitary. After being presented with a nice amuse we started with the Hugo fish soup: nice and spicy with much... More

Stepping into the restaurant, one feels welcomed by the cosy and rustic atmosphere. Even on a weekday evening, all tables were fully occupied. Guests can select from either the dégustation menu(s) or daily specials, or go à la carte. Hugo boasts an impressive wine bar, and the wait staff are well-versed with the wines. As expected, prices are on the... More

I stumbled upon this restaurant during my recent visit here. It has a pleasant casual mediterranean atmosphere and more importantly a in-house wine shop. Staff was polite and welcoming. Good and attentive service too. food was decent though.

Wondered here after a cancelled business dinner. It is the pleasant but a bit quiet, seems to be a place for locals. The food is decent if not great. My 48hr cooked lamb shank should have the meat falling off the bone. A microwave may have been involved. The chef should come out and and admit his sins but they... More

We stumbled across this restaurant whilst strolling at the back of our hotel. Without a reservation we were greeted warmly by a member of staff and shown to a table immediately. The restaurant was quite full and the ambience was palpable. We were served olives and bread for starters but also received a small portion of Jerusalem artichoke soup which... More

This was such a great find. A little expensive but we wanted something a bit better. We ate from their sampler menu which included a free wine with each course. The staff were excellent and really very engaging. The food was simply superb. Overall, very highly recommended

Truly amazing Italian restaurant. Cozy rustic atmosphere, impressive wine selection that is NOT over-prized and very good Italian food. Definitely a hidden gem off the beaten track. They also have a great 3 course lunch offer!

I've now eaten here twice. A buzzy evening, with excellent steak. Great value lunch - 3 courses for €9 with lovely wine.
