After not being able to get a table by walking up, we booked for 7pm the next night. We were asked to share a table with another couple already eating, as this was the nature of the restaurant. It was not long before we were chatting with them plus ordering our meals. Before long they left and a new couple... More

Based on TA reviews we went here our last night in Heidelberg. This was by far the Best place we ate at during our travels! It is a tiny restaurant so expect to share a table with strangers. For us this was part of what made our evening. What are the odds to be seated with 2 US business men... More

The service and the food, all good!! They even have a menu in English!! It's small, but very comfortable and friendly. Escargot is a must, bread was hot!! Reisling goes wonderfully with it. Overall a great place to have dinner if you're in the area.

No seats no reservations no taking-out for two days. Maybe food is good but the boss could not welcome Asians from his behaviors this two days.

In this very German atmosphere, you can have a full meal for less than 20€ pp. The place is always overcrowded though so if possible book in advance. However even in the worst cases they will work hard to get you a seat. Very friendly and casual.

Truthfully we (two women of a certain age) would not have gone in if it hadn't been recommended highly by a friend who works at a nearby hotel. We were happy with the choice. It was crowded, even on a weeknight. Good service, good food, happy customers. Great place for a typically German meal. Small outside area in summer; would... More

I found this place here, as the highest rated restaurant and it really was very good. I loved the Riesling on tap and a big crunchy Haxe (pig;s knuckle) was crunchy, thought a little dry. The snails to start were delicious. It gets crowded though and you might be seated with other people, I was put next to a guy... More

Today we had the pleasure of having lunch at this lovely rustic and original restaurant!!! The food is great, typical German dishes. I recommend the cordon bleau! The ambience is like in an old English pub but German. I've loved it! The waiter has been very professional and kind ;) Thank you!!! Really recommend it❤️

We visited here after reading trip advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. I had schnitzel a la Maison, (breaded) it was amazing, that along with delicious red wine, friendly server & sitting at a table with people from around the world made it a meal I won't quickly forget. I didn't get any photos of the food because it... More
