Even on a very busy night the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The food was perfect. The portions were more than generous (my fiancée only ate half of her schnitzel with mushroom sauce, and as delicious as it was I wasn't able to help her finish it after the copious amount of sausage and sauerkraut i had).

Lovely hospitality and great service. We ordered Haxe and Schnitzel and we weren't disappointed at all. The children (9, 12) loved the food. Could absolutely recommend this place.

The haxe was to die for and the schnitzel was out of this world. Brilliant condiments and ice cold beer. Friendly and humoristic staff. Couldnt be happier!

Staff were super friendly and helpful. They even gave us information about traditional schnitzels in Germany! Meals were large and delicious. The atmosphere was great but be prepared to get in early as they fill up fast!

Heidelberg is like a fairy tale. Beautiful, inspiring, historic, and touristy. We were hoping to get some good ole German food and we were so happy to find this place. Pork, schnitzel, spaetzle etc. reasonably priced and in a rustic setting - just what we wanted! Good service. This place is just off the main street, but it feels like... More

You sit at a bench table and drink beer and try to stay away from the snitzel - it's huge. Heaping plates of sausages compete for your palate. This is a locals bar and restaurant. You can keep your table all night. It felt like the tourists were "television" for the locals at several tables. Wait staff are efficient, the... More

Very good service and a man sized meal. the tables are really cool. They are made from old work benches with vices still working and attached. Very small restaurant and I advise on coming during non busy hours. The do not open on the weekdays before 5 and at 1 on weekends.

Me and my 2 sons (14,15) were staying for one night in Heidelberg and we had seen the very positive Reviews on Schnitzelbank and therefore we decided to do a test. The restaurant is located off the main street in Altstadt (Old Town) and does not look that special or inviting from the outside so I actually hesitated a little... More

Nice, cosy and cute pub style restaurant with amazing service and definitely GREAT food! The meal was quite big (but you'd expect that because of the price you have to pay for it) and the meat was soooo delicious that even after you're full you want more. Definitely the best place to visit in Heidelberg and to eat amazing schnitzel!

It's a bit expensive, but the environment and the food where great. Service was kind and fast. I'd like to taste other schnitzel places too. Be aware that ordering schnitzel with any sauce won't get you the traditional Krispy schnitzel if you don't tell the waitress you want it!
