Had dinner there. Walked in alone but sat with a couple of strangers. Weird at the begining but quite intriguing after. The waiters speak more than german and english and they are very polite. Food is amazing and i totally recommend it. No complaints. Was a bit hot but inasked them to turn on the ventilator and problem solved. Good... More

Somewhat hidden wine restaurant in the "Altstadt", the historic center of Heidelberg. What used to be a hidden gem it must have been featured in some tourist guide Americans tend to read, since half the crowd is American. The atmosphere is still very nice and authentic, if you like sharing a table with other guests. But the food is only... More

5 for atmosphere. 5 for staff. 5 for food. I loved my time here. Its small, so book ahead. We were lucky as we just stumbled in from the street and straight onto a shared table. This place has character and deserves its high rating. Sure.. it might not be your usual dining experience. It could be a bit loud,... More

Typical restaurant. Its small, but very cozy. We eat the knuperschnitzel and the apfelstrudel (apple cake), very good everything. One negative thing, a small glass of water cost 2 €... very expensive if you compare it with pils beers prices 2,80€.

A very small old multilevel tavern. Got disappointed big time. I think I will view the Tripadvisor rating with a grain of salt from now on. Very ordinary dishes. No large beer collection. In fact they sell only two type of the same brand. I was sorely reminded that place was a winery and not much of beer to offer.... More

Staff very friendly and smiley, made me feel welcome. Food was good but it could be better. I had pork knuckle. It was slightly dry and not so big.

Very nice place, with friendly staff and really good service. We ordered 2 schnitzels both of which were excellent.

We went along based on the reviews and were not disappointed. We were lucky to get a table sharing with another family but glad we got in. The food and service was excellent and the portions large so I was glad I didn't have a starter. The Hexe was great and my daughters both had the Weiner schnitzel. In fact... More

Like a few others, I'm completely confused by those who say the staff are unfriendly! Was kind of curious when we went to see how it played out, but we were welcomed by an extremely friendly and enthusiastic gentleman who sorted us a table, and looked after us fantastically. We tried a few types of schnitzel including the turkey -... More

We wandered in here after a long day of touring castles all over the valley. We literally stumbled in not realizing it had ver good reviews. The place is small and it was packed but we were able to share a 6 top with two other guys who we had a good conversation with about Heidelberg. My wife & I... More
