Just had a lunch there, good food and wine at reasonable cost. Location is easy to find. Cheerful staff.

Schnitzelbank is a traditional German restaurant in Heidelberg downtown. All its dishes were really good and the portions more than enough. You should make a reservation before, because the place is small and very crowded.

While it isn't anything fancy or avante grade the food is very good. Service is great by European standards. Nice quaint traditional small German gastropub that focuses more on regional wine than beer. Which isn't a bad thing. While nothing superbly unique I'd eat there again with no qualms.

The atmosphere is excellent if you're looking for the cozy, typical German feel. Unfortunately there are only 5 long tables so getting a table at peak time is a little challenging. I give it four stars because the food is delicious and the portions are generous, but they don't serve beer or coffee! Wine is on tap and is the... More

Went on a Monday evening and only had to wait 10 mins for a spot. Excellent food with good company. Our service was excellent and I got a free shot of Schnapps since I tipped well

Good food, friendly and welcoming stuff! We arrived around 9, the resto was full so we were asked to wait. Waiting time took no more then 5 minutes . We eventually had to share the table, but it wasn't uncomfortable . The place is cozy. Very much enjoy the whole experience!!!

Fantastic, small (get there early) restaurant, went with friends and we all ordered something different, and were all very impressed. There is a great atmosphere with tourists mixing with locals. A really good place to try some local food and a very reasonable price.

Schnitzelbank is an authentic, quaint little restaurant. A must if you are in Heidelberg, but be warned that is very small. Tables are sat family style meaning you'll need to squeeze in and out of a booth likely and will be sharing your table with strangers (which is no problem at all). The menu is extensive and everything is amazing.... More

The host was very nice and welcoming to me. The quality of the food was great. Unfortunately, I made a mistake with my order: I chose schnitzel "a la Maison" and I didn't get the usual breaded fried schnitzel but something different with an enormous amount of champignons cream. I wouldn't recommend this dish (but probably it is a personal... More

This is the top rated restaurant in Heidelberg, with good reason. I had the mixed grill, cleverly called "mixed grill" on the German menu. Vegans, do not go near this place. If you eat meat, make a beeline. This was absolutely fantastic food, accompanied by a glass of Dry Heidelberg Reisling, which was also excellent. All I can say, really,... More
