Had eaten here 10 years ago and enjoyed the food, but at the time were confused as to the menu. No one spoke English. Today,we went for lunch without reservations. It was wonderful, fun, friendly, and excellent food and service. The menu has changed, still...More

I was invited and as dinner cost me nothing I cannot complain about the price but I do complain about almost everything else. The salad was nice and the lentiles OK. The egg boiled in wine and onion was edible. The chicken in vinegar barely...More

We read about this Bouchon in Lonely Planet Guide which stated "this is bouchon dining at its best" but we found it to be bouchon dining at its very worst. The starters plonked down before us were uninspiring, the wine terrible, the soup served in...More

If you plan on having dinner here, you might want to skip lunch as the meal is guaranteed to be HUGE. The highlight of the meal included the starters (a bacon-y soup amuse bouche, salade lyonnais, lentil and bacon salad, charcuterie). THe salad was solid:...More

I would have rated this terrible if the staff hadn't been so nice. The menu was more than quirky, and wasn't to my taste unfortunately. Sure, it's a Bouchon, but does that mean we have to have everything made of offal or poor cuts of...More

Really terrible service and unfortunately my meal was average !!! If this was the first bouchon I visited in Lyon I wouldn't have known any better but it wasn't, and I've had quenelles that were a lot better! Also, at the risk of sounding picky,...More

Went here several times while I was in Lyon. Make sure to reserve in advance, as it is always packed. The service was constantly good and friendly; meeting M. Rivioron was also a highlight. I tried several of the usual bouchon fare; the joues de...More

Everything I wanted in a Lyon Bouchon, relaxed competent quirky and a good value. I also went at noon sharp without a reservation an got a table easily. They execute bistro classics well using humble ingredients.
