All is well here with great service and attention to detail remaining a stalwart of the Lyon culinary tradition so famed in France.

We went to Mere Brazier with high expectations. Some were fulfilled -- e.g. the service was excellent, both for its skill and warmth. The food and wine, however, were really not substantially above what is so common in France these days, and were very expensive. For example, 80 Euros for a main course. There were some menus provided which were... More

Friendly, professional service with a great wine list. Try to avoid eating on the first floor unless you're shorter than 5'2. I was hunching walking to and from the table and still bumped my head a couple of times.... Went for the long fixed menu, which was great.

We had the Menu Classique--quennelles that melted like clouds in our mouths, preceded by wonderful fois gras, and the tastes just danced in our mouths. There was delicious breads of several types and many amuse bouches and little tidbits along the way--a leisurely, lovely and positively delicious dinner to remember. The outside of the building is plain--I was a bit... More

Right from the beginning the staff were very friendly despite us being 20 minutes late! There was a big choice of menu's and we went for the good value set lunch, I had 70 Euro 3 course and my wife 57 euro 2 course - with champagne and wine the total was 199 Euro - good value for such gear... We were a bit worried that the food would be a dated but we were pleasantly surprised. Service was faultless and so was the food. We chosen the three course seasonal lunch menu. It was creative, spot on in season, tasty, stunning presented and very filling. The veal starter deserves a special mention and then I should not forget to... More

I decided to treat myself to a 2-star lunch after recommendation from friends. I haven't previously been to a starred resto by myself - they make me nervous so it's nice to have friends with you to chat - but it was *wonderful*. I had the set lunch (two courses, €57), beautifully cooked lamb with quinoa and courgette flower stuffed... More

My wife and I were looking forward to one of the French cuisine landmarks but were disappointed from beginning to end. I was disappointed with the menu, it seemed the chef was just trying too hard to make exciting dishes rather than sticking to a solid foundation of Lyonnais food. The food was all good, but fell short of our... More

This was our first visit to a Michelin starred restaurant and we thought France would be the best place for a first. Possibly we don't have sophisticated French palettes, but this entire meal was disappointing both in taste and ambiance. The lighting is too bright to be romantic. We could hear people in the kitchen talking and clapping their hands... More
