As a main course we took the chef's suggestion of the day, which was an excellent Saint Pierre fish (John Dory) from Bretagne. The fish soup was very nice also. The crevettes entree meant a lot of shell pealing (serving it like this is probably a sign of freshness, but a lot of work!). Nice to be able to dine... More

I went to the Jols restaurant which is located at 30 Quai Saint-Antoine, Lyon (According to their webpage, they have three stores). I had oysters as a starter and "octopus a la plancha" as a main. The waiter told me the octopus dish is a new menu. Oysters were fresh and delicious, and the octopus dish was superb! It was... More

Nice place in Lyon center, good menu card, fine wine list, friendly staff, a place you can go for a business lunch of family lunch. The fish is fresh and well prepared.

Start your experience by wandering down the street market mid morning. Everything you would expect when it comes to food in Lyon is on the stands at the market. Makes sure you arrive before noon, when the stalls disappear, the vendors are gone and the street is swept and cleaned. Once you've wandered the market, simply cross the street to... More

We enjoy seafood here. Fresh oysters and fishes. Decoration is bright and lively. There is English menu which made us a lot easier to try more dishes.

We arrived late in the evening, lots of other places had stopped taking people in. We were welcomed in excellent English (our best attempt at French seen through in seconds) and taken to a table overlooking the kitchen. This is an open restaurant with the chef and his team on view. Taramsalata followed by sea bream was excellent. Staff chatty... More

As a lover of fish and shellfish, min am always on the lookout for a good fish restaurant. Funny enough, in a food Mecca, lie Lyon, there are not that many. Luckily Jols is not just a fish restaurant p, but a very good one too. There are several Jols restaurants in Lyon. I have only tried the one in Limonest... More

I ate in this place twice during my one week stay in Lyon, it was a really enjoyable experience, the menu de jour is value for money, fishes are fresh, you do not even need to make a reservation due to the location which is not in the city centre.

A get-away from the traditional restaurants Jols is serving nice fish and seafood in an old market hall. The wine of the month had a good price-value and the rascasse served was very nice. Stass generally friendly and in our case knowledgeable. The remake of the hall is a little too much, I would prefer a more older look. All... More

A good place to enjoy casual seafood dining with friends on any evening. Close to metro, so getting in and out is easy. Nice selection of wine, tasty dining and do miss the baba way
