Had an overnight stay in Lyon and this place was near to the hotel. My husband and I shared a meat and cheese platter which was lovely followed by a nice dessert. Two beers and two wines, cost £35, so good value and we sat...outside and watched the world go by. Great start to the holiday.More

We were just after a quick bite without breaking the bank, L'Epicerie filled the bill. Sitting on the footpath we met up with some lovely local guys who were a lot of fun. The meals, soup d'jour and a burger, both excellent and worth the...20 minute walk we made to get here. Only complaint and inherent in France cigarette smoking, it's everywhere...don't these people know it's killing them?More

I went with a friend and we took the sandwich with cheese, nuts and honey... It was amazing! The prices are honest and the place is pretty cool, a little small but nice. Also the bathroom is nice. I totally recommend it, and try the...desserts!More

This is such a nice place to go to for drinks and light food (salads/tartines/desserts). The atmosphere is very nice and staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable and you have the choice of sitting inside or on the fairly large terrace when the weather is...good. Recommended on all accounts.More

Service was fantastic. Menu simple but tasty. The charcuterie was delicious as was the chefs special salad. The main menu consists of toasters/tartines. The dessert tarts were tasty and it was great to see them on display.

A lovely small restaurant with a very French feel. We went for a lighter (still pretty filling) dinner since we had had a HUGE 3 course lunch elsewhere. Their speciality is hot or cold tartines which are simple and delicious. I has the brie, walnut...and honey and it was amazing. Would recommend getting soup with the tartines, but note this costs extra. Atmosphere is lovely and wine is flowing.More

I go to uni down the street. I only recently just discovered this spot: its a great place to have a beer or a coffee and study or hang out between class. Great atmosphere, very friendly service. There is an 8 euro minimum on cards...so bring cash.More

This restaurant was not far from where we were staying in Lyon, it was a Monday night and quite a few places were closed. We found this place and we weren't disappointed. The menu was basic but offered several varieties of tartines (French toast) and...salads, the drinks included wines and tap beer. My wife and I had a tartine each, a beer each and a dessert each and it came to less than €30 euros. The service was good despite the place being quite busy and the food came out really quickly. I would recommend anyone in the neighbourhood to give it a go.More

We stumbled across this little gem whilst exploring the city and it was a super place for lunch. The staff are friendly and the prices are extremely reasonable. The triple cheese tartine with pear and the tartine with mozzarella, pesto and tomato are gorgeous. The...menu seems fairly simple but the portion sizes are definitely generous and satisfying! And I love how they served jelly beans with our dessert. It's no Michelin star restaurant but it's fab at what it does offer, which is simple, hearty, French lunch food.More

We went around the street full of restaurants for tourist with a waiter standing outside ... :-/ Then in sort of a side street we saw this restaurant. It looks for me as a typical French restaurant should look like; it has s character. In...the same time the menu is simple, original and made with quality ingredience. It is servinge mainly Tartines (bread with something on the top) and delicious home made cakes. If you want something not too big in the hot summer day full of city walking this restaurant is the perfect place to go :-)More

Found this place just after we arrived in Lyon. Wonderful tartines - very fancy cheese on toast and desserts. Inexpensive and good service.
