We made a reservation for dinner attracted by some other reviews. We were the first couple to arrive yesterday night. Unpretentious place, painted in blue-white, in an unpretentious neighbourhood. In twenty minutes the eight or nine tables were filled with locals and the owner flying...around serving everyone. I already had good oysters in many places, but never did they seem to come straight from the Atlantic as here, the Charente to be precise, meaty and full of taste, a delight. My wife had velouté de poisson, as delicious as what came on my plate. Then half a langouste for each of us and a bottle of fine dry Sancerre. We'll be back but... unfortunately not before September, because this place is what the French call 'saisonnier' and it rightly opens only in the right season for oysters, lobster, etc. Check the date!More

The peoples here are very enthusiastic, especially the chef who showing us all type of seafoods and it is very impressive as we don’t understand the French. They are very helpful. The seafoods are delicious, and my wife and I really enjoy the dinner.

Large varaty of shells, urchins, soles, huitresuu crabs, homards huitres and much more. Fishes always very fresh. A very attentive and friendly service. It is more than 10 years that I come here, between 5 to 12 times a year. I wasn't never disappointed. My...favorite dish is a half dozen of sea urchin., my dream is to have Stephan the owner cooking a plate of spaghetti at thr urchinMore

After some time in France again. We felt like enjoying some fresh oysters. And we found this place. Amazing. I did not know so many see creatures could be eaten fresh just like the oysters. Great experience. The place itself is charming. And small. The...boys taking care of the guests are amazing too. The English does not help much but it is fun to use a bad French to order or to understand the menu. The waiter has no problem with this. Always smiling. I make sure to visit this place again if I get to Lyon again.More

Small seafood resto away from the old section of Lyon. We enjoyed a cold plate of various seafood including shrimp, scampi, escargot and clams...delicious!

Usually I check out restaurants before going some place. This time, I saw the "Cabane a Huitres" sign on the way to the hotel, and thought it looked... interesting. And sounded even more so. And what a treat - as other wrote, the interior is...rather rustique, the waiters speak French (almost) only, but the seafood is... yummy is falling short. The variety is impressive, the food as fresh as it gets, the atmosphere cosy, charming, romantic. While I was there (alone :( ), there were mostly couples and a group of 12 or so elderly friends - but the place is so small that it all seemed almost like a family gathering. Unfortunately the season for urchins was over already, so I will have to come back - but I would anyway. You definitely should reserve a table - it also works with broken French :).More
