The chef owner was friendly and he just sits down and tells you what he had made that day. Hes very patient with non french speaker. His english is good enough to tell you. No written menus. Absolutely fantastic no matter what you choose. NOTE you cannot enter through front door. Go in the museum around to the dumpster by... More

When I arrived I was surprised how basic it was but I enjoyed the food more than I expected, it's basically good home cooking but my own home cooking is better so even though the atmosphere was great I'm still only giving it a three. It cost €110 for 3 small courses and a bottle of wine I felt it... More

An unassuming, inexpensive bouchon in the 1st arrondissement which is just fantastic. The menu is handwritten in French, but the chef sits down with you and explains everything in English. 3 courses and a carafe of wine cost around 30 euros. The food is rich, hearty, full of flavour and has a home cooked feel to it. Portions are plentiful.... More

Intimate atmosphere with the owner-chef going to table to table to explain the menu. Limited English was never an impediment. One can experience the community feeling, comfort food done at such high and consistent level that they look effortless. Everything we had ordered were very good to superb. Caution though the restaurant was often booked full a couple of days... More

Stumbling on this place quite by accident, we couldn't get a table inside as it was fully booked (a good sign) sitting outside there were only 5 little cafe tables all joined together due to the narrow street, we were quickly joined by several other Lyonasie lunch-timers who were all busy conversing in french around us and did not seem... Excellent cuisine, loved being at the tables typical of a "bouchon" and appreciated the input of other diners, all of whom seemed to be regulars at this restaurant. There is even a hidden passage going out the back (a "treboule")--lots of history here, Le Musee is a good name for it. Highly recommend the quenelles of pike and the pork... More

This is a lovely restaurant to enjoy authentic Lyonnaise food in a historic building & area. The ambiance is inviting. The chef sits down with you to explain the menu with a touch of humour. We ordered the Jarret de porcelet au foin & joues de porc. Both pork dishes were well prepared. I especially enjoyed the creamy potatoes and... More

A cozy and relaxed small restaurant with gingham tablecloths and a handwritten menu that the larger than life owner will read to you at the table. We visited during the Euro2016 tournament so it was busy and we were seated on a long table shared with a family and another couple. Unsure at first we really enjoyed it as everyone... More

Where to start. This place is absolutely fabulous!! Everything at this restaurant is amazing; the relaxed decor, the incredibly delicious food but most of all, Luc the owner is one of a kind! He sits down with you and explains the menu in detail and helps you pick the best meal. He treats all of his guest like family. We... More

This charming little restaurant is a great find, and just round the corner from McDonalds. My mates were really keen on this place and said it was totes amazeballs. It's everything Hannibal Lecter would love if he preferred animals to humans. He could literally eat every single part of a pigs anatomy and not be treated like a nut job.... More
