Having sampled expensive disappointments in Courchevel it was such a welcome relief to enjoy the delights of a proper restaurant where the same family have run it with pride since 1960. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the owner Laurent a caring host, the food was sublime, the wine delicious and fantastic value. We enjoyed a 2002 Gevrey Chambertin with... More

Had a lovely meal here. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was excellent quality but the prices steep, even for Courchevel. However, a great place for a treat. The potato gratin was superb!

l'oeil de boeuf is much more like a French Village Restaurant rather than a ski resort eatery. Its very small, cosy and friendly. They specialize in all sorts of food grilled over an open wood fire. The food was exceedingly good, the service was delightful and helpful. Prices for the quality of feed was more than reasonable. We went for... More

If you are in any of the Courchevals this is where you MUST eat, provided you know what a good steak is. We returned this year and this was even better than last year. This is a place for adults or hungry kids as the servings are substantial. The amount makes it value for money. All meat is cooked on... More

This is excellent if you like steak, they like to cook in rare! My only down side would be that its a bit on the expensive side and that its not that suitable for smaller children. Best suited for Adult only meals.

Wow ! Simple but so effective. We had a great meal at the L'oeil De Boeuf. The beef rib cooked on the open wood fire was amazing followed by lemon sorbet with vodka as a pallet cleanser. Service was excellent and the recommendation on the wine (St Estephe) was spot on. You will not be disappointed eating here. I would... More

Lovely "proper" restaurant on the Courchevel Village main street. Dined here in a group of four mid ski season. Food is local French and NOT the typical "Savoyard" pap churned out by the majority of ski resort restaurants. Interesting the note that all the other diners (upstairs) were Francophone, which says a lot, and in this resort it is sometimes... More
