Location and contact

After 20 years in Chamonix, Bea & Mike open their new restaurant in the centre of town, on the road just to the left of the Casino. Mike's reputation as one of the finest chefs in town is well deserved and as well as a great ambiance and generous portions you can be sure of some delicious classic French cuisine, with a pinch of innovation : Cappuccino of prawns with a saffron emulsion, Lobster Burger, spare ribs, fresh fish, home made profiteroles, and of course an array of the tastiest Savoyards specialties to name but a few. You'll also find they have an impressive wine list.

Situated mid town don't let the "cheesy" exterior fool you. This litte tourist attraction packs a true French punch. A bit on the pricey side for the miniscule dishes but they are indeed dandy, especially the non-Savoyard ones. Very pleasant surrounding & one feels somehow...More

We came to this cafe one evening (after recommendations from some guests at our hotel). We had reservations, and were seated very promptly. The staff were all very friendly and professional. It was my girlfriend's birthday, so I took the waiter aside and informed him...More

The closing dinner this week was booked on La telecabiene. It was a good choice! We wanted to eat a menu and drink some nice wine. There were snails, meat and dessert. Everything tasted very good. Good ingredients and well-stocked snails. We meat ourselves at...More

Was good but now needs a shake up. This used to be the restaurant to go to but the menu is becoming more and more like the other restaurants in Chamonix. I can - almost - forgive the staff for their lack of enthusiasm as...More

We dropped in by accident one evening in Feb, and were massaged in by a very friendly waiter. The service was a bit slow, probably due to the busy setting, but when the food arrived it was all forgotten. We went for a couple of...More

I finally made it here after it being recommended by a couple of local friends whose view on food I generally respect. Maybe I was expecting more but our meal was pretty average. There was nothing wrong with the tapas pata negra is always lovely...More

Made a reservation based on a walk-by review of their menu. It was a great meal. The decor of the restaurant is upscale casual and the telécabine (gondola) theme is subtly evident throughout. The service felt rushed from the moment we arrived. I understand their...More
