I have never experienced such terrible service as we did at this restaurant. The waitress was so rude, didn’t serve us, looked at us in disgust when we asked if we could order and she still didn’t serve us. Don’t expect a nice experience here.

The service is absolutely terrible. We waited at our table for 20minutes without any drink orders being taken. We asked 2 times could we please order and when the waitress finally came she glared at us and was extremely rude, we decided to leave. Avoid...this restaurant - we went down to the bars/restaurants closer to the gondola, a much better decision!More

We were sceptical to go there because of all the bad reviews. But decided to go here anyway. We were met by a very friendly serviceminded waitress. She came with our order pretty fast. Even though it was very crowded she managed to offer us...good service. The prices are expensive but if you are thirsty and hungry there aren't that many other options. Based on all the bad reviews,we were content.More

Not good... very busy which makes prices very very high for frozen and cheap food. The waiters are running around the place saying “2 minutes Madame” all the time. It was dirty, noisy and just bad.

Really busy, which permits them to charge high prices (€10 for a plate of chips!) for mediocre food and service. My wife had to send her steak & chips back as it was cold. My spaghetti bolognese wasn’t exactly piping hot.

Went here for some lunch on a break from skiing. The place was very busy and it looked really good... There was no music which was a bummer The food was very overpriced IMO Burger and chips were €22 Rum and coke was €13 as...you have to buy the spirit and mixer separately Beer €8 It was ok but I definitely wouldn’t recommend...More

Wish I'd read the previous reviews and skied to another bar! Slow service, at least 30 min wait despite empty tables (full of mess) Did everything possible to avoid eye contact to order. Faster service when taking the money !! #avoid

Horrible service. Waiting 45 minutes to get drinks. No idea how long will wait for the food. Staff is unpleasant.

Don’t waste your time, you’ll wait 30 minutes for a beer and get ignored if you try and get someone’s attention.

Altitude 2000 is one of two restaurants at the top of the first cable car from Chamonix. It was packed and we had to wait a fairly long time for a table. If you don't like crowds and waiting, find someplace else rather than write...a bad review. Of course, the reason it's crowded is there is no place else other than La Bergerie de Planpraz which is even more expensive. The restaurant is at the top of the mountain and the staff do a great job given where they are. When we finally got seated we were quickly served food that seemed to be very good to me. I think Altitude 2000 is about as good as it's going to get for a crowded ski mountain top restaurant. If you don't want to spend the money or wait inline, pack your lunch. My friends who ski over 100 days a year pack their lunches so they can afford to ski 100 days. If you're only an occasional skier, I'd relax and enjoy the view and the camaraderie of other skiers.More
