We went here three times and the food varied considerably, from the French onion soup which was brilliant, a pizza which was average and a tartoflette which is best avoided. Desserts were wonderful every time and the wine isn't overpriced. But what we noticed every time the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, unlike a restaurant opposite who handed us... More

I ate here once, and that was enough. While the price may be ok, the lasagna I ordered was reminiscent of frozen store-bought, albeit on a nice dish. The staff were decent.

At La Potinière restaurant, Chamonix, I enjoyed a Crêpe Savoyarde which is a crêpe filled with lardons, crême, and fromage. I do find this creamy cheese and ham crêpe accompanied by a glass of local rosé most satisfying to the palate. Being a creature of habit I enjoy this lunch each time I visit Chamonix. My husband devoured his three... More

This is ridiculous!! Always busy place at any time of day. Of course, central located this restaurant has a popularity among tourists. This is only reason why people are sitting there. But quality of food is awful. We had confit du canard in red wine - not possible to eat, the wine sauce was sour and duck leg had no... More

Had carbonara here and it was so bland, I could make better at home with my eyes closed. Everything is very touristy including the prices. No one out of the six of us was happy with their meal - very disappointing

Mixed Opinion on this place. Ridiculous prices on drinks - 10 euros for a beer just makes me want to throw things! The Onion Soup was splendid, could not have asked for anything better, it was the best thing I had for my entire stay. Get this dish! The burger was poor, tasted so bland and just not worth the... Had a fantastic meal with my family! Mussels were superb and the service outstanding. Ignore other reviews and give it a go!

I had the burger which was under-seasoned and tasted like some frozen patties out of a bulk box. My local draft beer was good, but but not 8 euro good. My wife had a cheesy baked sliced potato dish with bacon which was served with a salad. The bacon was all grizzle and the salad had next to no dressing.... More

I agree with 165/200! Just popped out for a quick bite, and had Salad Bergere. 95% lettuce, some nice cheese, and 3 or 4 small tomatoes, one piece of unappealing ham. Not being a rabbit I left 3/4 of it. We've had the mushroom fondu here a few times which was really good, but La Monchu is the best in... More

We accidentally went in La Potiniere instead of Cafe Valentino next door. It was awful. The pizza bases seemed like frozen ones. My pasta dish wasn't great either. I doubt any of the food was fresh. Disappointing.
