We visited for dinner on a quiet Sunday night. Guacamole starter followed by quesadillas and a burrito. All very tasty, and accompanied by a spicy salsa. A cheerful and knowledgeable waitress brought us some margaritas and cold beer. All in all an excellent find in...a country not known for its Mexican food. The bill was a little spicy too, but it’s to be expected in a resort like Chamonix.More

Excellent tasting Mexican food and cocktails. We had such a great lunch with a nice Mexican music and singing from the cook. Good tacos and guacamole. Cocktails and Mexican beers are excellent. Try the fish and chorizo tacos 👍

We had enchiladas and nachos sharing plate. Both dishes were excellent. Authentic mexican food and atmosphere. Staff was of Mexican origin and very friendly. Strong recommend!

I've eaten a lot of Mexican food in my time and this rates near the bottom. Chicken tacos consisting of dry chicken in a sad corn tortilla with some onion on top. Enchilada basically the same but rolled up and thankfully at least floating in...salsa. Dry chicken fajitas with same sad tortillas and a few spoonfuls of sauces on the side. On the up side, the soup was apparently good (hard to make that dry I guess?) the tiny portion of guacamole was tasty and the staff was friendly but overall I've had better from a taco truck at one tenth the exorbitant cost. Disappointing.More

A family friendly ambiance with charming service and quite possibly the best Mexican food this side of the Atlantic. The pork tacos were the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be coming back.

Passed by this restaurant and tempted by the unique decoration of the place. The menu seems to be simple and typically Mexican foods, but we were so glad to eat there... We had the Quesadillas with Chorizo maison, and extra spicy sauce (even though not...too spicy for my tongue, but it was sooo yummy), and good portions too for a good price. The best part for me is the services from the staffs, they were smiley and made little jokes. They speak English very well too so it's easy to make special requests for the foods. Will for sure come back again there!More

This place has good reputation so hopefully tonight was an exception. Chicken taco was very dry and completely tasteless. Quesadillas were also without much taste. Enchiladas were just bad tasting. The burritos were OK but nothing more. With prices for each course being 14-17 €,...this visit left us with a bad taste in our mouth.More

We had a great meal !! I loved the chicken fajitas. It was delicious. Service was excellent. When I come back to chamonix I will come and eat here again. The food was so good that I forgot to take a picture of it.

Dona Catrina is a new restaurant in the Chamonix scene offering a very passable Mexican fare. The four of us stopped by to check it out recently just to see if the menu could truly pass for Mexican because many have tried and failed in...Europe. Dona Catrina passes the test but at a price. Portions are satisfying, cerveza is cold, and the menu is a bit limiting but there's something there that you'll enjoy if Mexican food is your style. Sit outside on the deck for an outstanding view of the mountain, too. We enjoyed our meal but found the prices a bit high for Mexican food. Of course, this is Chamonix. Our four-person tab was similar to three other restaurants we ate during out stay. But should it really be that way? I mean, should a shredded chicken quesadilla really be more than $18? Definitely give Dona Catrina a shot. Value is in the belly of the beholder.More

While waiting our bus to Geneva, we decided on a hot day to have a cold beer at their terrace. Central location, great views towards Mont Blanc and friendly service. Menu seemed to have all Mexican favourites, but this time we didn't have time to...taste anything.More
