Had a couple of meals here during our week. Good value, tasty pasta and pizza with decent service. A good solid place when you don't want to break the bank every night

I agree with many of the other reviewers that this is a surprisingly good place to eat in the middle of town. It's actually kind of tucked away next to the cinema opposite the post office. I picked up a pizza one evening to take away for my daughter and service was quick and friendly. Got to watch the chef... More

For a restaurant close to the centre of chamonix this place serves up surprisingly good value. All four of us had pizzas (the calzone being particularly good) which arrived quickly even though the restaurant was busy. Being just off place Balmat the atmosphere is lively with plenty of opportunity for people watching. Service is efficient and friendly. Came here 5... More

This is amongst the better town restaurants but do travel out of town for a more authentic experience.

We always dine here on our annual visit to Chamonix. The pizzas are great and the specials are always interesting and worth trying. Service is good - staff friendly.

Really great food. We came here on the Wednesday of our trip at the recommendation of our holiday representative. Wednesday's are the chalet staff's day off in the resort. We booked in early, about 1900. Whilst there was a varied menu, we all opted for pizza, of which there were many varieties. The food was tasty, and the service was... More

Good location close to the main pedestrian street, a large selection of mostly regional food besides the pizzas. It is not very expensive and the staff is fast and friendly. Good value for money.

This was a great place for delicious pizzas after a long day on the slopes. Easy to walk right in and get a table, at least for our party of two. Though there are a lot of these types of restaurants in Chamonix, this one is highly recommended!

Lunch for two on a cold snowy day at Le Bartavel. The menu suited me, being a vegetarian. I ordered a rucula salad and a marinara (tomato, garlic, oregano ) pizza. My salad was expensive and tiny for the 9 euros price tag. . After eating delicious marinara pizzas in Italy this one , at 10 euros, lacked taste, was too... More
