Highly recommend taking the ten minute walk from old town and sitting down to authentic food in a non-tourist atmosphere. The menu is limited but each dish is a supreme example of bistro food. The menu du jour is fairly priced and the kitchen then sends out two free courses plus complimentary after dinner drink. The wine list is equally... More

This was a gem. Hard to find (see map attached) as driving programs deliver you to the front of and Indian cuisine restaurant. Walk half a block to the left into the larger open area. Many additional tasteful delights offered gratis. Well prepared nicely presented food. The lamb knuckle (shank) has simmered in a very light tomato sauce for a... More

Le Bistro du Rhone is slightly off the beaten track, around 15 minutes walk from the centre of Annecy. It is well worth seeking out, as the food is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The 'menu of the bistro' is very good value at 40 euros for 3 dishes. We throughouhly enjoyed our dinner and I... More

A super little bistrot that we only found thanks to Trip Advisor. Not far from the station and set back from one of the main roads through the town. Attractlvely decorated and serving excellent food, it was full on a Saturday lunch time and booking is strongly recommended. The food is nicely presented and there is an amuse bouche between... I reserved on line. Probably necessary as people were turned away. A friendly lady served by herself so unsurprisingly service dropped off a little as the place filled up. There were loads of extras( 2x amuses-bouche; 1 more between main and dessert and a liqeur at the end. So bear in mind if you order a full 3 courses. Very... More

The set menus offer good value for money given the quality of the cooking - the chicken samosa were some of the best we have had, the lamb and veal mains both delivered and the chocolate pudding was lovely. The glasses of house red and white were also reportedly excellent. Service was friendly and professional. Book well ahead and get... More

Friendly family restaurant with modern french style food. Evening menu has a choice of four starters and four mains. Some of them with quite technical aspects. (deep-fried soft-boiled egg with ratatouillie for example) The service was efficient and friendly.
