If you like fondue, raclette, tartiflette, or just cheese in general this is the place for you! Be sure to book in advance as it tends to fill up, but it's a true taste of the Alps in Annecy.

Even in August how could I resist a cheese fondue that is the speciality of Le Freti. I'm not one for the mountains but I would love to return here in winter just for another cheese fondue and perhaps some amazing raclette. Very reasonabl prices.

Reasonable Savoyard food of a standard similar to ski resorts in the French Alps. Food was nothing particularly special, but good quality fondue. Service was efficient, but surly and not particularly helpful.

The fondue area is upstairs and the waiters were rushed off their feet and had limited time with the diners. The food was good but you feel rushed and the atmosphere was far from relaxed. That was diner for 6 on a Wednesday night. The raclette is yummy but the water served was tepid and we had to ask twice... More

This is a busy and loudly restaurant with a lot of costumer. Very intensive for the worker and you only have a few seconds with them before they run to next table. The food was delicious and I can imagine that's why they have so many costumes.

The food is to die for! Truly an authentic gem. The interior is intimate and rustic. The outside patio is right in the old city on a main pedestrian thoroughfare and great for people watching. Staff are friendly and attentive. I'll be back.

We had a classic cheese fondue here and just loved it! The size was generous and well made, not too much wine. There was more than enough bread initially served (sometimes we have to ask for more). The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us choose an appropriate wine (we don't know much about French wine). The also... More

The paprika fondue was good but not great, salad was good as well. Service was fine. Kind of a challenge to get there, saw the sign but the ground floor looks closed, like they are renovating. You have to go upstairs. It was confusing, I would have assumed they were not at that address if I didn't know better.

We hadn't booked a table but staff accommodated us. We started with French onion soup which was okay but no Gruyere cheese on top. We then had the Fondue Savorie which was delicious. I had never eaten fondue before but was pleasantly surprised but it is very filling so one fondue can be shared by two persons. The waiter was... More

This has to be THE place to go for all things cheesey - raclette and fondue at your table, all the cheese you can eat. Good luck! We (foolishly) went for a two person raclette, when we should've just shared one. We didn't realise the sharing was an option, but they did ask - we just panicked! Potatoes and pickles... More
