Worst culinary experience in all France. We had food we weren't able to eat. The octopus salad was of a low quality and taste, same as the fish we had for second. The beer and wine temperature was not fine, it was warm. We paid the bill and left with the plates full.

We were rather happy with our experience at La Tortue. The portions were large, and most main courses were served with a side of fresh salad. We did not order any muscles, even though it seemed that everyone else at the restaurant did. We had Beef Carpaccio and Salmon Tartar for appetizers, Chicken with three cheese sauce and Coeur de... We had a nice experience here. Very busy restaurant, but you can eat really well at very reasonable prices.

Came with family including a baby, for lunch, based on trip advisor rating. We ordered moule mariniere, merlucius and gambas, as main. For baby we ordered steak hache. Nothing was edible!!! The beer was hot, the wine same! Never in my whole life i tried such terrible food!!! No taste at all and the meat from the child menu was... More

As a beer snob, I have found nothing in France that compares to the Craft beers in the USA, but the food here is another thing. Was recommended this place by a local lady whom I trust. When we arrive the place was packed and had to wait about 10 minutes. Our waiter could speak English, which was very nice....although... More

Was recommended from a local,so booked late and was in the front conservatory area,so door always opening and it was a chilly night, but that's what happens when you book late.Started with a so underwhelming dish I cannot remember it so that says it all really.......Bandol rouge recommended by the owner/manager and it was off,so safely plumped for Bandol rose and... Arrived here just as the kitchen was closing but the staff helped us make a quick choice so we were able to have a meal at our leisure. Range of food varied, quality excellent and service first class at a reasonable price

We were a bit skeptical because of the restaurant's proximity to our cruise ship (literally the second closest restaurant to the port's entrance) but were blown away by the quality of our meal. Many of the waterside eateries offer Moules-frites and I'm sure they are good, but La Tortue gave us the best Moules-frites we've ever had! We sat inside... More

My husband and I had dinner here last night. We were promptly greeted, welcomed and seated. The gentleman who greeted us spoke English and seemed very accommodating to us. I had read previous reviews that reported that Americans weren't welcome but that was not the case for us. He was lovely. The meal was wonderful and the portions served as... More

During a business trip I had dinner at this restaurant located on the port of Toulon.A business associate who knew the area suggested this area for dinner as it features a number of restaurants on the Port of Toulon. We chose this restaurant simply because it was very busy (busier that all the other restaurants on this restaurant 'strip'). The... More
