For our first day of holiday in St Remy, I suggested to my family that we eat at Le cafe de place. My husband and I had eaten there last year during our last visit to St Remy and had enjoyed our experience. Following the extremely rude and obnoxious service we experienced at the cafe de la place this lunchtime,... More

Ate there twice. Enjoyed there rapid breakfast which was just a drink and a croissant, that was nice and their extensive breakfast, which had an egg, croissant, yogurt, Ham and baguette. Lovely.

Wow so surprised at the shocking meal quality. Wine was horrible and service poor. Paid bill and had to leave to eat food we could eat. So many good places in Saint Remy......not this one!

What a let down! The worst wine, food and service. Chicken nugget (Caesar salad) and cabbage tuna salad are shocking! Vinegar tasting wine (and that was apparently the best choice on the menu). Don't go!

I believe this to be the cafe of the hotel next door; but most passers-by simply seat themselves in the open-air area reserved on the square for the cafe. The waitresses are fast and friendly enough and the food and drinks are better than many other places in this bustling village. It is located where heart and aorta connect for... More

After a long day travelling we decided on this place as it was next door to our hotel and the reviews were good. Although quite late, c 10 pm it was very full but the maitre d found us a table right at the back - service was swift and we had a very tasty saltimbocca - French style -... More

Our family of four visited Le cafe de la place on a Wednesday morning before as the Saint-Remy market was being set up. This cafe is a great place to sit and watch the market come to life. They offer a variety of breakfasts, from a simple hot drink and pastry through to more elaborate offerings. A simple meal, ok... More

Plenty of choice in St Rémy, especially in the Summer ! But Café de la Place is known by the locals, which is encouraging ! Good location facing the Church, very central but a little aside to avoid the crowds, good menu and selection of daily specials. Excellent selection of local wines. A typical brasserie-style eatery, nothing fancy nor pretentious... More

You need to go here! It is very quaint and perfect for families. There food is delicious I had a ham and cheese and it was to die for. Their rose is amazing and you will not regret coming to this place.

I literally just walked into our villa from dinner their with our children. Please note they loved their croque massier (sp?), However my husband and I ordered the steak/ entrecote and writes with salade. It was absolutely hands down the worst piece of meat I have ever eaten. The bottom of my shoes would have been more tender and flavorful.... More
