We ate at this restaurant on 3 different nights during our stay in St Remy. The food was consistently excellent. Definitely the best meals we had on our trip to Provence. I especially loved the Truite aux amandes (Trout with almonds). It is run by a wonderful local couple who clearly pour their hearts into this restaurant. The restaurant has... More

My friends and I stumbled upon this gem in St Remy and we loved it so much we went back a few days later! It had a cozy and charming ambience and the restaurant owner was sweet - exactly what I had hoped to experience during our time in Provence. The portions were generous and the food was absolutely incredible!... More

St. Remy de Provence was filled with small, great value mom-and-pop restaurants like La Forge. No pretensions here. The 18 euro menu for us included a salad and omelet starter, poulet estragon, with sides of gratin dauphinoise and a spinach mousse. It was nearly full on a Wednesday evening in late March. (Note: American reviewer has had a second home... More

This small restaurant (about 22 covers inside) is sweet and old-fashioned. Unfortunately the cooking is also old-fashioned and the presentation is amateur. Raviolis of royan were dull and swimming in cream instead of pesto, scallops were over-cooked and had prawns added, the pave of lamb was good but half the plate was covered with a creamy sauce which did not... All and all a enjoyable dinner, we both order the 24.50 eur menu, my wife's food was great. I recommend not ordering the beef as it was a very poorly butchered cut very tough and 3 hunks of gristle. The restaurant is in a basement of a old french home so everyone one is whispering. But its part of the... More

A personal, friendly atmosphere and excellent food! It is a meters outside the center, and is therefore neglected. But I went twice.

A little gem of a restaurant just off the one way system. In all there would be 8 tables. Husband and wife team...very friendly, delivering great food in a quiet, interesting surroundings. The food was excellent...scallops in particular come to mind. It was, however, very very quiet and so lacked atmosphere the night we were there. I am very surprised... More

Dinner the 16 of June 2015. Just outside the city centre ringway. A wooden door you would not notice during the day. Very few tables. Book ! Restaurant probably run by a couple. Table service by one man, systematic, correct and friendly. Menu not very expensive. Nor a very big choice. We had Pavet de Agneu and avocado Cuisson de... More

Just returned from having a wonderful meal just down the road from our campsite in the town of St Remy de Provence. (Van Gogh lived at the sanatorium here for a while). You step down into a welcoming 'cave' with space for about a couple of dozen diners. Lovely greeting and attentive service from the owner while his wife prepared dishes... More
