The restaurant is a bit hidden. It has a very nice terrace. Although it is located next to a busy road, the terrace is quiet and has a lot of shade. Good and relaxed service. We had several dishes. The squid was excellent, the beef on the other hand was not good. The beef was chewy and had a lot of tendons and fat. The ceasar salad looked excellent (did not taste it but saw it on the table next to us). Although they present it as a starter it would be more than enough for me as a lunch. Good to know: they also have plates to share with a drink or as a shared starter. Parking is easy because across the road there is a big supermarket with a huge parking lot.

With a group of friends we spent the New Year's Eve Dinner in this restaurant and all we have been delighted from wine, food, service, atmosphere, warm hospitality. Absolutely a perfect nigth. The kitchen is absolutely clean as well as the restaurant, the quality of the raw materials are very high and the final result is a food that match every request. We weere so delighted tha we went back another day again and, again, we hsave been absolutely satisfied.

We had been given a strong recommendation to this restaurant, and our expectations were met in full. All the boxes were ticked - a warm welcome, an easy transition to conversing in English, a lovely and relaxed courtyard setting, an extensive and very appealing menu of shared starters + starter dishes + main courses, and helpful wine advice. Overall, a memorable evening, culminating in a lovely conversation with the chef, who is Sophie's husband.

We went to this restaurant based on reviews, but we were disappointed. The steak frite for my husband was a bit tough (although plentiful), and my hangar steak with gorgonzola sauce was more tasty. We had been having fish for many days, so we thought we would go with the beef. Perhaps we chose wrong. Prices also for our meals seemed high in relation to other restaurants. We paid 30 euro and 38 euro for our meals, without any other starters, desserts, etc. There are other better places to eat in St. Remy

We had the worst meal of the summer at the Moulin de Sophie. The steak was inedible (tough as leather) and the French fries were over cooked and tasteless. The grilled fish appeared pre-cooked. The management was totally unreceptive to our complaints Slow service and crowded terrace. The restaurant sits in front of a hyper market on a busy road. Awful.

I'm not in the habit of giving bad reviews to a restaurant but I can't help it. First of all, one of the waitresses (I don't know if she's the manager) wasn't very cheerful. With the aperitif we took a board of Parma ham to share for €17 (quite expensive and small). For the main course, a grilled beef steak (at 24€ anyway) alone on the plate and the accompaniment of fries and vegetables on the side, so no nice presentation on the plate. The fries were sticks so difficult to grab with the fork and the vegetables were tasteless. If we wanted a sauce (béarnaise, bordelaise...) there was a supplement of €3.50. For dessert I had a crème brûlée but if we wanted whipped cream an extra €1.50 was asked so I didn't have coffee for fear of paying extra for the sugar!! So we got it for €95 and we were very disappointed. To summarize: avoid!

A big thank you to the whole team. Really pleasant welcome. The dishes were delicious: I highly recommend the cuttlefish with parsley, the duck confis and the beef steak!!! The desserts are also amazing. The floating island, chocolate mousse and praline crème brûlée… a delight!!! For us it is faultless with really fair prices given the quality of the products, the cuisine and the advice of the two waitresses, both in terms of the dishes and the local wine. We look forward to seeing you next time you visit Saint Rémy. And thank you again, you delighted us.

We have been here with friends and family for many years when in holiday in St Remy and can say without doubt we have always had the best meals there on our vacations. The attention to detail and quality of food is exactly what you would expect of a talented French Chef. The staff are able to explain all of the menu if you are in any doubt and are very attentive throughout.Sophie is on hand at all times for advice and assistance and manages her staff impeccable. Slightly out of the way of the”tourist trail” which explains why so many locals visit here, always signs of exceptional food. Please make a booking if you are in the area as I will guarantee you will never be disappointed.

Our dinner at Le Moulin de Sophie was probably the best meal we had in St. Remy. Authentic French cooking at its best meant to enjoy. Service is friendly but not rushed and the menu features some classic dishes that I didn't see anywhere else we went. We started with frogs legs and mussels. Both were perfectly prepared and seasoned with plenty of garlicky olive oil to sop up with bread. Our entrees were a whole grilled sea bream and a 1/2 baby chicken served with grilled squash and frites. Both were fantastic; perfectly cooked with excellent flavors. We chose a local rose to pair with dinner and it was perfect. I asked our server if we were the only diners from the US on the patio and she said that there were others, but quite frankly I didn't hear anyone else speaking English. The dinner was so filling we didn't have room for dessert, but if it is anything like the rest of the menu, I'm sure it is wonderful. I'm so glad to have found this place tucked away in a corner of St. Remy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

It’s a bit outside St Remy but definitely worth the short foot walk. The staff is extremely friendly and the patrons very motivated really going an extra mile to make you feel welcome. When we were there all the guests were French which in itself is always a good sign. The Food was really good and the Ile de Neige one of the best we ever had in our live. Make sure to call before to get a seat on the veranda in a romantic and Cosy setting.

The setting is pleasant and the welcome friendly but the dishes lack precision in cooking (spongy shrimp, slightly rubbery squid), and finesse (tasty mushroom ravioli but bathed in too rich a cream). The desserts are homemade and quite good but they lack a little sophistication and character (a little acidity or bitterness for example, or more daring combinations). To conclude, the service was a bit rushed which is not very pleasant. In the end, the evening remained generally pleasant but we would have to raise the level of requirement a little notch to match the price.

I had a good meal once! But what can we say about the squid with Armorican sauce other than that this dish (sold quite expensively) was of an extremely mediocre level both in terms of the texture of the product and the NO sauce accompanying it: this dish smells like nothing. no doubt the frozen product, the sauce, the inability of the cook to make it. So total tastelessness of the dish. Wanting to brave a bad omen I order a rum baba for dessert; the ace! Pastry coming straight from an establishment supplying ready-made products: therefore without taste quality, poorly soaked in a pseudo syrup without rum or almost… do some proper cooking again please!!

What a delightful restaurant and delicious meal! Came for lunch with my family (8 of us) and could not fault the lovely time we had at this restaurant. The service was excellent and the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive throughout our lunch. We enjoyed a range of different tapas dishes to start off our meal (Serrano ham, cockles, whitebait to name a few) and then thoroughly our mains. I had the sea bream which topped the most smooth and creamy potatoes and a delicious cream sauce. Everyone enjoyed their meals and it was excellent value too. What a delight and would defo recommend!

A lovely evening on a cosy terrasse which, despite being busy, felt very intimate. Service was very friendly and professional and the food delicious beyond expectation. In a touristic area as St Rémy is, the restaurant was a very nice parenthesis of real local and home made food. I cannot but recommend the restaurant.

We chose this restaurant with much anticipation and unfortunately it did not meet expectations. Overall, I can't say that anything stood out and we were most disappointed with the T bone veal steak (chop). It was a nice chunk of meat, but the meat was dry and chewy. My wife ate it for respect to the chef as it was cook properly. -The veal just did not cooperate. As noted, we have have better overall.
