It was terrible(. Were in this place 04/06/2023. Were in Marseille for one day (on a cruise ship), really wanted to try the famous bouillabaisse. Unfortunately, the restaurant where we booked a table was closed due to a demonstration in Marseille and we came here....a portion of bouillabaisse cost 28 euros. for this money I got a plate of cloudy, not tasty soup, in which 2 small pieces of fish, a few pieces of potatoes and five mussels floated. they also gave a few pieces of dried baguette, some grated cheese and aioli sauce My friends ordered a beer served by an unsmiling young woman in a dirty sweater. We asked her for the WiFi password. She herself entered it into my phone, and refused to give the password to my friends, who limited themselves to beer ((. This is the first time I have encountered this. Then they waited a long time for the calculation, as the waitress ate ... Terrible experience, both in terms of service and quality of food... I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.More

Not the best of restaurants. The service was good but the food very mediocre and over priced. The seafood was generally over cooked.

Had a great experience with some lovely food and a very sweet waitress 😊. Plus the fireworks and flares for the local football club didn't hurt either, haha.

I ordered the tagliatelle with pesto. It was served in a frying pan, which implied to me it should be a hot meal. It was cold. Even the frying pan was cold; as if they forgot to heat up the meal. So I asked the...waitress if she could have it reheated. It came back hot, but tasted terrible. I mentioned to the waitress that the meal tasted off and she asked if I've ever tried pesto before. The pesto looked like chopped blades of grass and had none of the familiar tastes that you'd find in a pesto. I can honestly say it was the worst restaurant meal I have ever tried. It was too bitter to eat.....and they still made me pay full price.More

This was not among the top places recommended to us. But it was open at 17:30 while others did not open until later. Even 11/1 hours before sunset, we saw the streets of Vieux Port transitioning from very crowded to deserted. It was pleasant and...right across the street from the waterfront. We had very good bouillabaisse and moules frites. The price was competitive to less some of the top places. Service was friendly and good, although there were only two other occupied tables.More

We arrived in Marseille late in the afternoon and after leaving our bags at the hotel decided to head straight out to Le Vieux Port and look for somewhere to eat. The number of restaurants was quite overwhelming, but finally decided on Le Coin Provencal....We took the option of their offer of main and dessert for 18 euros, along with a delicious bottle of local red. My wife had entrecote steak, which was perfectly cooked and I had a seafood platter, which was probably enough to feed two people! For dessert we both chose a kind of lemon cake, which was moist and delicious. I've seen a number of negative reviews on here for this restaurant, but I have to say that our experience was all good.More

We were at a loss as to where to eat along this busy harbour side strip and decided on this place because of the cleanliness! Plus had an offer of €18 for a main and a dessert. My hubby enjoyed the sardines and I had...the fish du jour. Both dishes were very good indeed. Tarte Tatin also great and home maseThe only issue was them running out of food on the basis that it was Sunday! No moules, no ice cream and no milk for coffee! “Dimanche” they kept exclaiming with a shrug of the shoulders! Anyhow, was great!More

We found the food to be exceptionally prepared, particularly the seafood. Their catch of the day was noticeably fresh and well done. The service too was fantastic. Highly recommend this place with its friendly staff, fresh ingredients, and amazing views of the Vieux-Port de Marseille!

I don’t usually give 1 star reviews, but this was my least favorite meal of our trip. The location is nice, the service is adequate, the presentation is good but the food was sub par. I didn’t finish my meal. My wife had the veal,...I had the shrimp Provençal.More

We chose Le coin provencal for our dinner in Marseille which we desired to be focused on fish and sea-food. Le coin provencal is well located, towards the middle of the line of restaurants, brasseries and bar near the Marseille old harbor. Reasonable menu at...a reasonable price, with attractive main dish + desert combinations. It’s not great food, and nothing really original, but well cooked and quite tasty. Nice and fast service.More

In Marseille for a few hours from cruise ship. Found Restuarant by pure chance whilst walking along road across from harbour. Waitress was great fun albeit a bit stressed as other staff had not turned in. Ordered curried mussels, cream mussels and 2 portions of...mussels in white wine and garlic. Had a bit of a wait as Restuarant quite busy but enjoyed 2 red and 2 rose carafes of house wine which was very pleasant. Mussels were all very tasty and very large portions with lovely French bread and chips. Downfall only one small toilet but would fully recommend. Hands up to the waitress who made the day being so jolly under stress.More
