We'd tried on two previous occasions to get a table here and my advice is: BOOK ABOUT TWO WEEKS AHEAD! Fabrice runs a very tight ship here and does all the cooking, serving and clearing by himself and the restaurant has only 16 covers, which...he sometimes reduces to 12 when the need arises. We went there on a Wednesday and arrived around 12:15. We were first to arrive and within half an hour, the place was full. Delicious soup and a chicken main course were followed by a sumptuous pear and ginger pudding. The food was exceptionally good, the wines delicious and the service excellent. What more could you ask for? Can't wait until we're in Marseilles again to go once more! Three courses with wines came to €59.00 for the two of us.More

A tastefully designed restaurant that serves fine French food. The restaurant is located at 81 Rue de la Palud, not far from the old port. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 12: 00-14: 00, Thursday through Saturday between the hours of 19: 30-22: 00

We loved our dinner experience at O’bidul. We had a cheese croustillant and a quinoa salad with hareng as starters, then white tuna as meal. Everything was very tasty. The choice of local beers is incredible. We had a lot pleasure to drink : a...white beer with pepper and two different blond beers with ginger. Dessert was also splendid : a chocolate “mi-cuit”. We will definitively recommend this restaurant to our friends.More

Booked this restaurant to have dinner with a friend on our short trip to Marseille and it was nothing short of amazing. From the initial warm greeting from the chef, maître d, waiter all in one person, to the brilliant eating experience it truly is...a restaurant to remember. The food was so tasty and with hearty portions, the menu choices were great and if I could have ordered a bit of everything I would have. I had the fish (maigre) and it was just everything :) thank you for a great experience, looking forward to visiting again.More

The chef who cooks and waits was a great host. The choice is small but the quality is excellent. The dishes were generous. Also he has a wide variety of local beers. The ambiance is relaxed. We were lucky to go without a reservation but...I assume a place like this is always booked. Definitely will come back!More

Intrigued by TA reviews, we sought out this 16-seat restaurant and were lucky enough to get the last table without a lunch reservation. All other patrons were locals. The owner-chef-waiter-busperson indeed did it all, preparing, delivering and clearing two tasty starters and mains by himself....As we were last to leave, we had a nice conversation and got a free sample of the distilled liqueur steeped in herbs sitting on the counter. His is an interesting story, which he was happy to share. This is simple food at a reasonable price, but for me the unusual setup and nice experience gain it five stars.More

I have an excellent gastronomic experience in this restaurant. For starter, I had a baked Camembert with salad; the main dish was pork filet with brussels sprouts and a sort of risotto, although it was not exactly a risotto (instead of rice, the chef used...other ingredient) and as a dessert a mi-cuit au chocolat with caramel. Unfortunately I could not order wine because I was taking antibiotics but my friend did and he told me that it was excellent. Highly recommended. The place is very small; you need to book in advance!More

Cozy, genuine, tiny apartment-like restaurant run by a single man - waiter/cook. Selection of 2/3 starters, 2 main courses, 2 deserts, number of local craft beers, some wines - simple and fresh local ingredients for just a perfect result. Friendly atmosphere, great attentive service. Two...thumbs up!More

We were lucky to get a table for 2 in this tiny restaurant in the back streets of Marseille. Fabrice single handedly runs the restaurant, cooks and serves and makes time to talk to all of his customers. The food was cooked perfectly - only...having a choice of to dishes per course meant my partner and I could make separate choices for our main and then share each - a rumpsteak and tuna steak - both delicious. The Moelleux au Chocolat was not for sharing it was too divine! Reservations are only possible by phone (or in person) during opening hours. Our best & favourite meal in Marseille, and we were only sorry it was so busy we could only visit once. Fabrice was very generous and even recommended another restaurant in the area when he couldn't accommodate us on our first attempt to visit.More
