This is a busy little crowded restaurant with a chaotic bustle of wait staff and customers being seated at long tables, no space between dining parties. You’ll either love it or wish you were back in America. The food is fabulous. Many entrees are served...over a bowl of couscous and vegetables, we chose the daily special Mechoui, basically a lamb shank. Other options were chicken, sausage, veggies. If we had known, we would also have ordered a bowl of sauce that we saw on other tables, as couscous can be a little dry and bland. Enjoyed it, a bargain at 10€ each and would return if back in town.More

The food was really tasty and the portions were quite generous (we had the couscous and the grilled lamb). The staff was friendly and welcoming, we enjoyed the dinner.

We have just finished our meal here and loved it. We were looking for a cheap eat and this place excelled. The couscous was served with a great sauce and there was homemade harissa to accompany the food. I had the mixed meats which were...barbecued to perfection.More

We ordered a lamb couscous and chicken tagine - which were both very tasty and very reasonably priced. The service was a bit offhand though, with the waiters barely making eye contact with us and the hygiene was questionable - the kitchen staff were smoking...in the kitchen.More

Got brought to this place by my French friend who visits it often. We had two cous cous dishes with lamb. They serve with a type of soup/dressing which was great. I loved the atmosphere in there. People on their lunch break, families, couples, all...sorts. The thing that got me the most was the guys working there, all very happy and relaxed. Watching them interact was very funny!More

Ordered the Royale at 13 euros and found it perfect for splitting. Curiously, the sauteed vegetables we also purchased was primarily sweet peppers! Good value.

Fancied some couscous and there are several North African restaurants in this area. This Tunisian restaurant wasn't very full. We all had the lamb and merguez sausage couscous. The mint tea was just right, not too sweet. We also had some baklava afterwards.

Been here so many times...and keep coming back year after year. Had been a few months since the last visit this time - and I fell in love with the food all over again. Lovely subtle cinnamon laced sauce, perfectly seasoned lamb brochettes...the crowds of...locals salivating outside from 11:30 am til closing just goes to show it has a strong followingMore

We were looking for a small, local eatery which this exactly is.Restaurant was busy with locals and the service was good. We order the mixed grill with couscous, a tunisian salad, and potato and egg brick all to share. There was plenty of food to...go around. The meat was well cooked and fell off the bone, the chicken was really good, and we discovered a new favourite in the merguez (which is a spicy sausage). I really enjoyed the brick accompanied by the spicy red sauce available on all the tables. Only downside obviously no alcohol to accompany but I would definitely go back again as it was really enjoyable, and prices left enough money to spare for a cocktail on the Vieux Port!More
