The service may be a bit slow, but the food is so excellenr that the wait is always worth it. We discovered the place 10 years ago and have visited the place once a year on our vacation.

I made a reservation to eat here next month after experiencing a wonderful lunch here 2 years ago. My reservation was confirmed by text last week. This morning out if the blue my reservation was cancelled with no explanation VERY disappointed.

We had noticed the restaurant before but has never taken the time to walk in. Our plans for lunch had to be changed due to a heavy thunderstorm and we were looking for a place for lunch. Nice atmosphere and nice people. The food was excellent and delicious and made a grey day a nice experience. We will definitely come... More

Very nice presentation of food.... nice atmosphere and some jaz music. However i did expect something more than just ambiance table of five and all of us ordered from set menu. None of the 3 course was served for all at the same time. Two of the starters arrived about 15 minutes before the other 3. The main courses apart... More

The restaurant was quite but still had large gaps in service, we had anticipated a leasurely evening meal but for long periods the waitress was no where to be seen. The menu was one of two set menus, both had a reasonable number of choices and in the main the food was both attractive to look at and with good... More

Like other reviewers we stumbled across this place whilst visiting the Musee Escoffier - what a piece of luck! All of our dishes were beautifully presented - and so tasty. It is "home style" cooking if you are lucky enough to live with a gourmet chef. Very fitting for the home town of one of France's most celebrated chefs.

I made a special visit whilst staying in Nice recently to visit the Escoffier Museum which is based in this little village. Feeling peckish I wandered about the village keeping an eye out for a restaurant i could have a small lunch in before visiting the museum. A mere stone's throw away from the front door of the museum lies... More

We were in Villeneuve-Loubet to visit the Escoffier Museum (which is well worth a visit) and liked the sound of the lunchtime €15 formule - daube provençal followed by profiteroles. The daub was served with ravioli and was superb, the beef beautifully tender and the sauce rich and full of flavour. The profiteroles were excellent. All in all a great... More

Warm welcome, great starter, but downhill from there. Beef on one maincourse tough and gristly. Other main was duck, correctly cooked but broken bone shards in the sauce. Desert very disappointing, sounded fab but did not deliver. Having eat out in many restaurants and a chef myself, I would not recommend.
