Large servings of regional French seafood dishes, with accommodating and friendly staff, happy to assist non-French speaking visitors. Mixture of French and Italian food on offer, in a fun, vibrant atmosphere.

You know when you have several restaurants in a row and one of them stands out as beeing utterly crowded? Pick that one! I almost always choose this restaurant when I'm in charming Villefranche! It's a traditional Bistro that serves uncomplicated dishes to a decent price. Staff friendly and efficient. My 4 star to this establishment is more about the... More

We have been coming here for 25 or so years and it remains one of the most popular places in Villefranche. We had a Caesar salad and split a generous serving of escalope of veal. I loved it; my wife thought it not as good as previous years. So I'll take a star off my rating. I would add that... More

Very friendly welcome and service throughout. If you look at my review of Le Mekong this is the restaurant we found afterwards. Great food, friendly service, good value.

les palmiers is a typical "cantine" restaurant. You can eat there everyday and its absolutely not boring. les palmiers is the only place open 24/7 and 365 days a year. There is a very simple way to recognize that this restaurant is one of the most reliable in the area: all the locals are there !

Love the location close to the harbor. Had a few breakfasts here. The crepes are pretty good. Also ate lunch here both the pizza and hamburger were ok. Prices reasonable for the riviera. Service was also decent.

This restaurant, just off the waterfront in Villefranche, got our attention because it was actually open at the time of year we were there. Having said that, it was a good meal and reasonably priced for the area. Servers were friendly and prompt even though the place was busy.

After wandering around the old town, we wanted to sit in the sunshine with a drink and have a small lunch. Having looked at the menus of the restaurants on the waterfront and decided that we weren't hungry enough for those, we ended up at Les Palmiers. Staff were very friendly and the food was good although expensive for omelette... More

We arrived about 9.30pm when most local restaurants had stopped serving. We were greeted with a warm welcome and there was no rush to finish. The food was excellent. We would recommend absolutely.

We found Les Palmiers on our first day in Villefranche and it gave us a fun start to our ten day adventure. We had a mid-afternoon Sunday lunch and it seemed like we were surrounded by local families enjoying their Sunday outing. The mussels were fabulous, very tiny, but succulent. We went back the next day and had pizza, which... More
